the problem with getting sensitivity readers is that it's a job and you have to pay them. which is fair but i don't have any money and it's highly doubtful that I'm going to make any

#ellistocracy.txt #thinking about maybe making a semi-public discord for marginalized indie writers (including fanfic!) to sensitivity read for each other #but like. i don't have any black friends! and i think that's a general failing on my part! #but i don't want to go out of my way to meet black people specifically because that feels tokenizing! #and i CERTAINLY don't want to invade black spaces just to be like ''hey i know nothing about you. it's your responsibility to fix this'' #but research only goes so far! im never going to be confident that im writing a good and realistic character without feedback #anyway. anyone who thinks a group critique server sounds cool feel free to reach out #or anyone who already has one!
