today i bought a new iphone so i could watch the wsl.

let me explain.

so we all know finding somewhere to watch women's soccer is an absolute palava. except it's actually not in australia, it's just on a service that costs $24 a month - optus sport. that is an outrageous amount of money to pay for a single use streaming service.

except if you're an optus customer, it's $6. i abandoned optus years ago, but me vs telstra has continued unabated ever since.

on friday when my pre-ordered iphone didn't show up, a thing i only purchased for fun but once committed had to have immediately as promised, i lost my shit, took myself to the nice local optus store this morning, and now i have a new iphone plan for $10 less than i was paying on telstra and access optus sport for only $6.

instead of paying $24, i'm $4 in front :)
