Heya! Wanted to thank you for the wonderful Asuka/Lili essay posts of yours. They were a real pleasure! You brought up Lili's façade on an earlier post and it was something I picked up on her as well, and it was good to see that it's not just me. Her masking alongside her terrible inability to figure out how to keep herself around Asuka is what first drew me to main her on Tekken 7/8 as, while I admit I was likely projecting, she gave me really heavy neurodivergent vibes. Please keep on writing!

#have you studied the faggot theses #in your monastery #personally i don't think lili is neurodivergent as in autism adhd etc but DEFINITELY mentally ill and insecure #what Harada said about her mother explains a LOT #Asuka is too- violence is a massive coping mechanism for Asuka #violence lets Asuka feel in control of herself and others- i feel her father put this idea in her head about the Kazama power to protect #and she believes in it with half a heart to enable what puts her in control- then 5 onwards happens to her and she craves it more #she needs less and less of that noble excuse she just doesn't want to sit with her feelings bc then she's out of control #Asuka is insecure without something that doesn't need her to think- like fighting- which she said / alluded to in 6 #i don't get how most people don't see this they're both not right #they're both traumatized even if the game chooses when it wants to remember
