Online Exhibition : Too Tired Project ‘Winter Isolation’

“Winter Isolation. Rounding the winter solstice leads to the shortest days of the year, adding sunlight and growth back into our lives slowly and gradually. This winter blur coincides with the continued quarantine brought on by the pandemic, political unrest and unpredictability, and an exhaustive cycle of expected productivity without recharge. Too Tired Project held a call for photography that responds to this time of isolation during the winter months -- the good and the bad; in whatever way that making photographs supports an expressive outlet.”

Created out of the known deterioration of mental health in the winter months which is now combined with covid-19 isolation Too Tired Project has released an online exhibition which photographers are showing work that explores isolation during this time. The photographers work is all fine art based ranging from portraiture to still lives exploring the direct affect of covid isolation alongside poor mental health that is worse due to the weather. The collection of images connotes a quiet, peaceful environment with some images prompting the viewer to think about more serious narratives such as loss.
