On your idea of bleeding darkness

What if it was like a mist or smoke?

Or maybe ever a sludgy substance that denies gravity? Like floats up?

Anon your mind is amazing!! Especially that second one is just.. w o w. It would honestly look macabrely stunning.

(!!Spoilers for Chapter 2!!)

Plus- when you mix the smoke idea with the second one it starts feeling like the same behaviour of the Dark Fountains- especially of a freshly opened one, like we could see at the end of CH2. It starts by looking like smoke spreading around then it slowly turns into something more like liquid being pushed upward (which we usually see with the "older" Fountains when we see them in the distance). Which honestly?? Makes it even better-! Having the darkners' blood mimic the thing on which their existence depends on is just too good to pass up-

...Also omg this means the wounds could look like the inside of the Fountains (how we see them when we close them) just.. multicolor mayhem,, OR perhaps every darkner has their own funky color-
