the fandom instinct to headcanon pyronica and kryptos being closest to bill makes a lot of sense when you listen to robertryan corey talk about the henchmaniac designs, because they were the two that were designed to be explicitly complementary to bill's design in a way the other henchmaniacs weren't. frankly we're just reacting to clever character design

#well i say 'clever' but i do think ronnie's design is like... fun but a little boring and pat for the Token girl #but! like i said she was specifically designed to be based off of bill's flames #and robertyran talks about kryptos more than any other henchmaniac #saying that he was specifically designed to give bill a 'masonic buddy' to gel with bill's eye of providence deal #the other henchmaniacs are described more generally as 'we wanted Weird Demons' #so the fact that so much of the fandom looked at kryptos and ronnie and went 'yeah we want those guys' #is just an indication that the concepts behind their character designs worked
