In other news a doujin artist whose stuff I really really love is finally releasing his next novel this comiket, but I do not have the money to spare to buy it and I cannot gamble on “maybe it’ll ship in a close enough window to the other doujin I ordered that I’ll be able to consolidate them into one package”, so I cannot buy a legit copy for collecting purposes goddddddd damn it. buying things is hell.

#admittedly i'm also torn on buying it because i'm just burnt out on that particular fandom overall #i need to do some soul searching elsewhere before i can come back and learn to love that particular series again #it feels bad because it's not even the series itself that drove me away! it took some whack turns but i can tolerate the nonsense #the problem is the english speaking fanbase around it and the friend circles i fell into are like #the worst kind of kinnie drama discord drama 'blacklisted trigger terms are a Good moderation system' shit possible #which is a HORRIBLE thing to mix with a series that is on some drakenier levels of trigger-filled graphic content #and i'm still recovering from the heartbreak of all that IRL shit ending badly #so unfortunately I have to put this particular series away in a box for now and i'll come back when i'm ready
