so, this is a hot take i've been sitting on for a while about ysblf and discussed privately with other people to get a clearer picture.
tw// sexual assualt
so, in regards to daniel's sexual harassment of patricia, there's a scene i never heard anyone talk about. in episode 23, he and patricia have dinner at her place and he starts making passes at her, which she strongly rejects on account that's she won't sell her body for an assistant spot. he's very insistent, and keeps caressing her and telling her it's not true, she will do it because she wants to be with him as much as he does, despite her protests. then he pushes her on bed and she says repeatedly in a pleading tone "please, no, i have a boyfriend" as he's on top of her. then we cut abruptly to mario and aura maria in the car, who are busy making out. she's sharing doubts about the implications of sleeping with her boss, but he reassures her everything will be fine, and they get back to kissing. then we cut again to daniel and patricia post-sex. she's lying in bed, still dressed and fixing up her skirt, in the same position she was when it started, and daniel is towering over her with his legs open so we can see her (an interesting directorial choice) also fully dressed, zipping his pants. she's shocked and worn out, and when he leaves in a haste, she starts sobbing. later that night, she's still crying and calls mario just to hear his voice and be comforted, to be told someone actually does love and care for her after the way daniel used her.
to me, all the evidence points to patricia being raped, especially compared to the consensual moment between mario and aura maria. i'm not sure patricia knows, but she can feel something is very wrong about what happened. and the audience does too cause that scene is very uncomfortable to watch and i'm sure it was staged that way for a reason.
