seriously, high approval Vivienne's post-reaching Skyhold conversation is one of my absolute favorites in the game. it's a pity so many players miss it bc it shows such a different side to her than most are aware of. particularly, what an invaluable, caring friend she becomes if the Inquisitor makes the effort to befriend her

she's literally the only companion that asks the Inquisitor how they're doing after they nearly die escaping Haven! that's huge to me?? meanwhile, most of the others are at their peak awed religious hero worship, thinking the Inquisitor's this untouchable thing sent by Andraste, not a regular person with fears and doubts (who nearly fucking died not too long ago) too. Vivienne's the only one who seems to remember their fragile humanity and recognize they need to be checked in on and supported just like anyone else

#don't get me wrong. i LOVE the almost cult like following quizzie receives from their own freaking people as the game progresses #the concern that oh jeeze did i accidentally build an entire new freaking religion with me as the figurehead is kinda great lol #but i think it's important in that kind of story to still have people that don't put the player on a pedestal and see through the bullshit #too many of the other inner circle members are too religious themselves. they'll always have that the quiz IS the herald barrier #/ #// #/// #//// #///// #sto parlando #da talking tag #vivienne de fer #dragon age #da:i
