i need to see this show befor e my brain explodes o h my g oddddddddd

i saw ur swept away posts and i swore i was the only swept away fan ever but i am not!! i saw it 5 times bc at arena stage and you can pay your age there if you're under 30!! and yes it added up to around $100 total but idc!! the patterns and symbols in the show EATTTT like the reoccurring references to mate and cleanliness and mate wanting to "make himself clean" and then the multiple lavander soap mentions and big brothers "he is a man who looks on clean things and wants them dirty bc he can't even remember what clean is" line about mate drives me up the wall its too good!!

and in the show i feel like the multiple refernces to the sun and the way they talk about the sun and everyone's relationship with g-d i feel like the sun is kind of g-d in the show? mate curses g-d and he curses the sun, captain mentions the sun blazing and judging mate and the way big brother and little brother pray w their hand on their chests and palm facing the sky and mate does that to the sun during his monologue when he mentions the sun he does that exact gesture!! and mate saying "stop staring at the waves you'll blind yourself with the light" or something like that and big brother "then let me go blind!" bc of the sun's reflection on the waves!

and the big brother is g-d and mate is the devil parallel is soooo good. i needed to get this off my chest to someone who understands

Hi everyone. I see you are all seeing swept away. Well me and my roommate haven’t seen it but we heard the plot and came up with a story and she wrote it down. It’s amazing.
