im not an animal scientist or anything but i also don't think this is like anthropormorphizing something that's not actually there - has anyone else thought about how insane it is that cats can like. meow questioningly. like that when they're 'asking a question' or confused they will lilt the end of their meow up in tone like we do when we ask a question. this is fucking me up so bad do they learn that from us?????? are they capable of understanding what that means????

Found this image out in the wild, which led me to the question of why did they crop out the barrel? Is this legal?

which meant I downloaded it, and ran it through Tineye; this led me to an uncropped version, but as it was literally just website.com/image.jpg, this made me ask „Where is the original, and who made it“?

Also, that is an actual P-90, and not the civilian PS-90, as signified by the shorter barrel; this answers the legality question.

Putting the uncropped version through Tineye led me to Safebooru. Thankfully, Safebooru had a source link, meaning that it was very easy to check the original post.

Chucking the original into a font identifier website, I matched it to TT Commons Pro. I then found and downloaded a 'trial version' of the font, opened both the original and the original original in GIMP, typed it out, played with font size and bolding and italics, positioned it correctly, learned how to add outlines to text in GIMP, *Inhales* and here we are:

People against piracy fail to realize that no, I can’t just ‘buy it.’ They stopped making DVDs and Blu-Rays. They’re barely offering digital copies for download. I am not spending money I could use for food or bills to pay for a subscription service just so I can always have access to a beloved piece of media. Especially not when the service will remove media on a whim without concern for how the loss of access to that piece will make its artistic conservation nigh impossible.

For example, I recently learned that Disney+ had an original film called Crater. It’s scifi, family friendly, and seems cool - I would love to buy it as a holiday gift for my little brother! But: it’s exclusive to D+ and THEY REMOVED IT LITERALLY MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE.

The ONLY way I can directly access this film is through piracy. The ONLY available ‘copies’ of this film are hosted on piracy websites. Disney will NEVER release it in theaters, or as something to buy, and it may NEVER return to the streaming service. It will be LOST because we aren’t allowed to purchase it for personal viewing. If I can’t pay to own it, I won’t pay for the privilege of losing it when corporate decides to put it in a vault.

So yes, I’m going to pirate and support piracy.
