Introduction Time...

Hello there!

My name is Sophie and I’ve deiced to start a blog about raising a puppy.

My partner and I have always wanted a puppy. My partner has grown up with dogs whereas I have only just discovered my love of dogs.

We decided the the COVID-19 lockdown was the perfect time to get a puppy as I was (and still am) working from home and my partner was on furlough (but from today is working from home).

It took us a while to find the perfect puppy. I was harder than usual due to having to organised video calls and not being able to see the puppy personally.

Thankfully on April 26th 2020 we found our puppy.

She’s a black cocker spaniel who we are naming Bella. She was only 2 days old when we first saw her which meant we had a long time to wait until she could be picked up.

She turns 7 weeks old this Friday and we can pick her up the Friday after.

We are both so excited!

I have to admit I am very nervous as well as this is my first time raising a puppy.

We’ve read training books and been watching different training videos so we know the basics of training and the best way to do it, but I’m still not sure what to expect.

This will be a huge learning curve for me but I can’t wait to get started and see where this journey takes me.
