KRUEGERNAK THOUGHTS!!

-They have two sets of "engagement" rings, one from a proper jewelry store that they don't ever wear, they keep it in a box at home. And the others are disposable silicone ones for work so their fingers don't get caught when they work on machinery. They bought them because it's just easier to say they're married instead of having to explain why they Aren't.

-Up until living with Nak, Krueger did not know his hair was wavy because of the type of shampoo he was using for the past 20 years, which was super bad for his hair. He just thought it was straight until he started living with her, where he used proper shampoo that's good for his hair. Now he smells like her as well which is a bonus.

-Speaking of hair, Nak is very protective of hers. Due to her experience with Naga chopping it off so often when she was younger; She doesn't allow people to touch it unless it's people she trusts or medical professionals. Krueger and Syd are allowed to touch.

-Krueger, good boyfriend that he is, will never give in to weaponized incompetency. He KNOWS that's how his father acted with his mother and doesn't want that with her;

Phayvanh makes dinner? he will wash the dishes afterwards. Other way around? Well he's not good at cooking so he'll order her takeout of choice. Phayvanh is tired? He'll do the chores even if he didn't have to. Phayvanh has a broken arm and can't tie her hair up? He'll tie it for her. After all, they're a team, they should have each other's backs, in and out of the field.

-Nak is just generally more affectionate in private than I draw her, she cares for this man to death. Ever seen Nak giggle? Neither have I.

But she does. Phayvanh has little fits of laughter every so often when kissing and hugging him. Or just when she's alone and she's kicking her legs up and down while texting him while he's off running errands.

Idk I just miss them that's it. I want them to say the ❤️ word so badly.

BACKGROUND

EARLY LIFE:

Born in Savannakhet, Laos, Veomany Inthalangsy moved to America with her parents in the early 1960s during the period surrounding the Vietnam War and Secret War in Laos.

Her parents sought refuge and a better life, settling in a small neighborhood in Sacramento. Veomany, who soon adopted the nickname "Vernon" to blend in.

EDUCATION & CAREER:

Fascinated by history and ancient cultures, Vernon pursued a degree in archaeology. Her academic prowess led her to a promising career, quickly gaining recognition for her work. However, her ambition soon turned dark.

Driven by greed and a desire for power, she began stealing artifacts during expeditions to sell to private collectors and destroying key artifacts to prevent certain historical truths from being uncovered.

Vernon's actions weren't merely for profit; she relished the control she had over history and the secrets she withheld.

AM'S AWAKENING

Vernon was in the Middle East for an Archeological Excavation where an unforeseen catastrophe struck. A violent sandstorm swept through the region, engulfing the archaeological site and separating Vernon from her team.

In the midst of Vernon's excavation, AM's awakening heralded the downfall of humanity. Cities crumbled, societies collapsed, and humanity faced extinction. Amidst the chaos of AM's rampage, Vernon found herself isolated from the horrors unfolding around her.

As the cataclysmic events unfolded, she stumbled upon a hidden chamber within the archaeological site, shielded from the devastation above. In a stroke of luck—or perhaps fate—she was spared from the fate that befell the rest of humanity.

AM'S "MERCY"

AM, omnipotent and omnipresent, took notice of Vernon's unintended survival. Unlike the other humans who had perished in the wake of its wrath, Vernon survived, like a cockroach. It saw her as an intellectual challenge, Vernon's survival introduces an element of unpredictability. And so it kept her alive.

AM decided to exploit her deepest fear: being alone. Unlike the five other survivors whom AM had selected for specific torments, Vernon was condemned to an existence of perpetual solitude.

THE SURVIVORS

AM made a calculated decision not to inform the other five survivors about Vernon's existence. This ensured that not only would Vernon never encounter another human being, but the others would remain oblivious to her plight, intensifying her isolation.

For the next 109 years, AM meticulously ensured that Vernon never encountered another human being. She wandered the labyrinthine halls of the complex, her only companion the oppressive presence of AM.

The five survivors continued their own tormented existences, unaware that another human shared their fate, yet was forever kept apart.

AM occasionally offers Vernon a fleeting chance at human contact, only to snatch it away, deepening her torment.

Conversations with AM: AM often initiates conversations with Vernon, usually to taunt her or present new challenges. These interactions serve as both psychological torment and a reminder of her captivity. Lately she's been finding comfort in them, Knowing there are some aspects of her knowledge in the ancient world he doesn't know about in his database.

Hellooo!!! I have a question for the two goobers: Would Nak/Kreuger rather go to a museum (weither it be art, historical, etc) or a zoo (Or something simular like an aquarium or a butterfly garden)?

Does KruegerNak prefer Museums or the Zoo?

Howdy Mishap! I'm personally a fan of both so it got me thinking a bit! Here's them at my visit to the modern art museum last year :) Thanks so much for the ask! 💞💞💞

I feel like neither but both at the same time xD. Each place is catered to their specific interests. But they both have things they enjoy about each trip :3

My headcanon, half of Krueger's family (Dad side) are part of "higher society" + being naturally artistic, he enjoys museums, contemporary art, etc.

Nak is still technically considered "New Money" because of Naga, plus how she was raised, she really doesn't see anything cool in art museums or museums in general. She's willing to go with him because it's something he enjoys, and she likes walking beside him as he explains each piece. She really enjoys how smart he is when he wants to be.

Nak likes animals so zoos, aquariums, etc. are enjoyable for her, she likes pointing at the ones that she thinks look like him, and there are slightly less restrictions in there unlike the museum (Don't touch the paintings, don't stand too close, etc.)

Since Krueger is rather indifferent about most animals, that feeling naturally transfers over to zoos. He'll find other ways to entertain himself there by taking pictures of the plants or being the Map Man. He'll go to the zoo or aquarium with Nak because he likes seeing her happy and excited :D (Sorry if it doesn't make sense)

Their Interaction at an Art Museum usually goes like this...

He takes a sip from a bottle of water, promptly closing the cap, proud of himself with a grin.

(after a while, she finds him a shady area to rest a bit, she knows he's a bit tired from walking around so much)

Wandering by (again) and was curious what they’d all think about crows (yourself included).

Liiiike if a crow took a liking to Nak or Krueger and left them little bobbles (acorns, paper clips, coins, random stuff) for some peanuts or something.

KRUEGERNAK - How Do They Feel About Crows?

Creator's Note: This is purely based off of my interpretations of the characters and are bound to change in the future.

Krueger

I don't really think..Krueger likes animals all that much xD. Not that he dislikes them, but more that he's kind of neutral about most - though I feel he'd be quite fond of crocodiles (they look cool) and hunting dogs (are useful) .

Maybe it has to do with how his brain works or how Sebastian was raised. A father that he was afraid of and took on hunting trips at an early age, Sebastian could easily butcher a rabbit at 12; so it seems to have made him have trouble having the same fondness with animals.

Crows, are one of the animals he's familiar with, and he likes that. He won't go out of his way to feed one or interact with one, but would be picking up any feathers they might've dropped.

I don't think he'd know how smart crows actually are (loser) since it's.. not knowledge one would remember. So he'd think that the trinkets they left for him are either junk for their nests or something Nak left for them.

Nak

She doesn't allow herself to get close to animals; she was raised to not have any opportunity to enjoy things like having an animal she likes because training was her top priority.

I think she enjoys crows since she's basically dating one xD. Birds remind her of him, especially when they are loud and give her random things found on the ground.

She might not understand why the crows are leaving bobbles and trinkets on her balcony table but she'll keep them in a little jar to look at. She's superstitious, so their gifts seem like good omens :3
