Whenever life gets me down, I remember I once worked for a month in a Sears phone bank in Grand Forks trying to sell service warranties to people who already said nope when they purchased their appliances.
It was said the Grand Forks Sears service department was one of the worst in the nation, and the people I called knew it.

Ah, my first little North Dakota Tourism ad, way back when computers were steam-powered and we still had to include all that extra gibberish before the website.
I lost the argument over which line “now” should be on and it still makes me twitch, but otherwise not too shabby.
It was the Year of the Macarena.
