From December 10th, 2024 to December 9th, 2025, all Sharon Carter fans are challenged to make a years worth of content for this amazing character!

There have been rumors that she'd be a part of Armor Wars since FAWS concluded, so it may happen, but this particular rumor, about how she'll at first try to steal Tony's armor before helping Rhodey protect it, isn't legit.

It began with @ marvel_updat3s on twitter, which either makes stuff up or reports on things that are already reported or widely speculated. Another sign that it's made up is that they basically give the game away for her plot-wise.

Honestly - and I know this is a downer - I think they're going to keep Sharon as evil because they have to justify Steve abandoning her when she gave up everything to help him. She might help people from time to time, but it makes Steve look bad if she could be redeemed and he just... ignored her.

I hope they see how excited people got over having Sharon back as a hero, though.

Also, Armor Wars is due to start filming at the beginning of next year in Atlanta and London. Emily VanCamp was just announced as a lead for a new show that will film in Canada. Obviously, we don't know when the show will start filming yet, but there's a strong possibility she might not be available to do much with Marvel anytime soon. And with how they tricked her into signing on to FAWS, and how horribly the fandom has treated her, I don't think we'll see much of Sharon anytime soon.

She could still appear in Armor Wars, but if so, I would bank on her just getting a couple minutes, still being a villain, and maybe having her crimes exposed before she's killed off.

So is this news drop of Sharon being in Armor Wars legit? Because we all got burned with Secret Invasion, and I don't want to fall for it again. Emily just had a baby, I'm not believing anything until we get some actual confirmation.

Besides, if the leak is true, it sounds like they're still doing this Power Broker bullshit even if they're trying to do a redemption arc. And I'm still pissed off they pulled this bullshit with Rhodey being a Skrull and not Sharon.

#maybe rhodey will give her a lecture where he'll tell her how disappointed peggy would be before she dies or something #i don't think we can underestimate how much marvel studios hates sharon #that so many people with marvel studios feel so comfortable talking crap about her - that's a top-down situation #meaning they wouldn't talk like that if they thought the executives would have a problem with it

The Black Widow movie should've come out in phase 2 with Natasha being a badass assassin and having a cute black cat.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier should've had Sharon, Sam, and Natasha as Steve's bodyguards. Come on I didn't realize we could only have one female lead per movie. Also Cap 2 was Sam and Sharon's first mcu appearance so I think for that reason they deserved more screen time in that movie.

Does anyone have any links to interviews where Spellman or anyone else at Marvel Studios talks about Sharon?

Specifically, I'm looking for the interviews where Spellman said that Peggy is the epitome of the MCU, so it's great to see that Sharon is so awful in comparison. And I'm looking for another interview where he said that he was required to do three things when he was hired to work on the show - one of them was that he had to make Sharon the Power Broker.

There's also an interview where Emily talks about how Marvel Studios gave her the script for Ep 3 and kept telling her that they were finally going to treat Sharon right and finally going to do her justice, and it was only after she signed on that Spellman revealed she was going to be the PB.

I've been trying to find them, but I'm not having much luck (found the one where Spellman says Sharon is MCU royalty because of Peggy, and where Emily said they revealed it later but didn't mention how Marvel Studios told her they were finally going to treat Sharon right).

If you have ANYTHING about Sharon's treatment, I'd be very happy for them.

A bit of a downer theory below.

Okay, so... I think Sharon in the MCU is definitely evil.

They have to keep Steve marketable - so they have to justify him abandoning her even though she gave up everything to help him. I'm guessing by making her so evil that even he gives up on her.

They have to keep Peggy marketable - so they have to justify her being okay with Steve abandoning her own family member who gave up everything to help him. I'm guessing by making her so evil that even she gives up on Sharon.

If Sharon had been treated differently from the get-go, developed more by the Russos, hated less by fans, I don't think it would have happened. But all of it did happen, so I think they're going to keep Sharon as definitely evil.

One thing in Sharon's favor - the backlash to the reveal that she's evil. I think that (and the unlikelihood of FAWS S2, and the delay to Armor Wars and making it a movie into a TV show) will basically mean they'll back off using her.

BUT I expect the next time we see her in the MCU, they'll reveal that Sharon was trying to get with Steve the whole time to have him to herself instead of letting Peggy have him (ignoring their own canon where he was the one who asked her out, he was the one who initiated the kiss, she was the one who went on the run instead of staying for the airport fight). And then she'll be killed off. And it'll all take place with less than five minutes of screen time.

But I'm not counting on a redemption. Because if she can be redeemed, why didn't Steve stick around to do that?

As for Sharon in the MCU... I don't know. If you want to make your voice heard, make some noise. And support Emily's latest show Prejudice to show that she's got a fanbase that will support her!
