As I said in a comment before, I never experienced romantic attraction. I personally believe that cuddles, holding hands, and kisses on the forehead aren't necessarily romantic coded. I mean, I did all of that with my parents when I was younger, so why should that suddenly be reserved for only one person? However, this also the reason I can't just do it with friends because society deems them as romantic traits.

Not being able to hug people as I want to as it's literally my (platonic) love language troubles me a lot sometimes. Of course, I will respect the personal space of my friends and let them consent to a hug. But the number of times I'd hold their hands or similar stuff would be so much higher if society was just more chill about it.

I held hands with my parents for years (and still do sometimes) because it brought me comfort. Hell, we even did that in elementary school, although that was more of a mandatory thing.

I might just be hella touch starved, honestly. But all in all, if I were to feel romantic attraction, I don't think it would be much different from the platonic version. Romance might be the 'I want to marry this person and be with them, take on every hurdle with them and stay strong together' kind. It might make the people a little stupid sometimes, less rational in the presence of their crush, at least the first few months.

Platonic means to be good friends with a person. You might experience the same thing as I described with romance, minus the marrying and other stuff like making out. Maybe platonic and romantic are more similar than we think.

I once asked myself, "Who is Cupid?"

An angel who shoots an arrow, and whoever pairs he hits fall in love. That is what I have been told, at least. But why does he do that?

Perhaps it is because he can not experience romance himself. To make up for it, he indulges in watching people's love stories unfold.

He yearns to experience it himself one day. Yet, he knows that he will never have a taste of his own medicine.

For, he only makes these wonders happen. He can not use this magic for himself. He has tried everything, but it is no use.

"Oh, poor Cupid. Can not fall in love, can you? Can merely observe. Why are you sad? Look around! You made so many people happy. So why the tears?"

Cupid can not answer. He does not know why he is sad. What is this feeling in his chest? Why can he not love?

When people ask me what I think Cupid is, I say:

"Cupid is an angel who is cursed to yearn for love."

This makes me sad. I haven't even seen Film Red, even though I could do so any time. I'm not caught up yet, so I don't want to spoil myself with stuff when it's still going to happen in the main series.

But fuck, that hurts. Seeing Luffy try so hard to protect the people he loves, just for them to be ripped away from him because they protect HIM. That must be devastating for him.

ik we’ve discussed luffys relationship with protecting his friends and then getting hurt in front of him but it just like. keeps happening

like sabo, and then ace, and then uta (technically not canon but it adds to my point) at this point it really looks (to luffy) like he cannot protect a single one of his siblings. anyone he considers family dies, and there’s nothing he can do to stop it. and the thing is he’s not passive abt it: he trains, and trains, and trains, and they always get hurt anyways, often protecting him. he doesn’t know obviously, but Zoro tried to die in thriller bark to protect him. he’s the littlest sibling: he’s ALWAYS watched his big brothers try to protect him at the cost of their health, and it finally went too far with ace. his siblings die. his crew constantly get hurt in battles or trying to leave the crew to protect HIM. robin, sanji; and nami to some extent left the crew to protect them, and to see your friends practically or literally sacrifice their lives and happiness to protect you, when you’ve sworn to protect them, after you watched the exact. Same. Thing. Happen with your siblings?? that messes people up

and the thing is it’s always so close. it’s always right in front of him. he chases and chases and goes through everything to save them (impel down, the beginning of whole cake & enies lobby, I’m assuming film red) and he’s just barely too weak, no matter what he does. he always just barely fails to protect the people that matter most to him, bc they’re trying to protect him too.

they’re literally slipping through his fingers, and I know it sounds silly but that’s the best description I have for it and it hurts luffy so. much.

Mairimashita! Iruma-kun inspired doodles

While binge watching the third season, I came up with this after seeing the nest squirrel creature and thought of a little thing with my sona in that universe.

He's a demon from the misfit class who tends to act like he would go back to the basics. It's pretty much as if he were constantly in an evil cycle. I wrote down that he would rank two (Bet) before the Harvest Festival and rank four (Daleth) after the festival. However, there is the Music Festival after the Harvest Festival, which is used to get ranks up as well. So he would need to rank up twice.

As for how he became friends with a (dangerous) squirrel and named it Null:

Well... We'll have to go back to the second night of the Harvest Festival. He was looking for a place to spend the night and found the nest these squirrels often make, making himself right at home. Upon catching sight of one of these little unseeming guys, he threatens it. He knows how dangerous they can be, but threatening it to make a fur coat out of it is enough to scare it and think twice.

Yet, the young demon finds himself trapped in nightmares that night. He jolts awake and first is unable to tell if he's still in said nightmare or not. It sends him into a panic attack only the squirrel seems to help him out of. Professor Balam is the only one who knows about that event.

The first year doesn't talk about it to anyone, but the squirrel (later adopted as Null) becomes his first actual friend as he has not bothered to interact with his classmates before. However, thanks to Null, he becomes softer and more open to the others in his class.

I just finished the season, but for some reason, my brain decided to get into detail with that event. We gotta love such a weirdly wired brain :D
