i need y'all to understand that christians aren't a monolith and that it's wildly inappropriate to conflate christianity as a whole with bigotry or cults.
christians are 31% of everyone on the planet. they are around 80% of Black americans. they are 90% of all latin americans, around 80% of all latines in the united states.
i get that most of you are usamericans whose main or only exposure to christianity & catholicism has been white conservatives, but that doesn't make them synonyms or make it cool to treat them as such--white people are actually not representative of everyone else ever, go figure.
it's not revolutionary to erase all marginalized members of a massive religion. it's not revolutionary to say 31% of the planet, 77% of u.s. latines, and 79% of Black americans are evil.
it's not revolutionary to erase the role of afro-christianity in abolition, in the civil rights movement, in modern Black liberation, and to equate it to the christianity of white supremacists.
it's not revolutionary to erase all nuance and equate marginalized people to their oppressors just because you refuse to even go so far as to open wikipedia before posting your pseudo-leftist hot takes.
it's not revolutionary to erase christian leftists, queer christians, christian scientists, revolutionaries, artists, etc.--and it's not revolutionary to deny the role peoples' faiths play in their lives just because they're "better than most christians" or whatever.
if you mean republican, just say republican. if you mean white supremacist, conservative, jehovah's witness, evangelical, pro-lifer, homophobe, whatever, fucking say that. if you mean white people, say white people.
(also, for the record, latino catholics are more likely than latino protestants to be liberal, and latin catholicism involves a lot of marginalized religions & religious practices--equating catholicism to white american conservatives is very much based in white supremacy, treating the white expression of a religion as what the religion Is--so no, it's not better if you're only calling all catholics bigots.)

What's that bro? You began interacting with a media from a different country than yours and/or was made in time period different than the recent present day? Haha that's sick bro! Keep expanding your horizons bro! You're remembering to take into account that sociocultural norms, gender roles and genre expectations are different from what you are used to and meeting the story halfway, instead of forcibly superimposing your ideals into the story, right bro? Right? Right?

I am a mosaic of everyone I have ever known and loved and touched and I find fragments of them in my playlists and how I make my tea. we may not know each other any more but we will stay connected like this. I hope a fragment of me is with you too.

idk to me it’s just like,,,black people coined the phrases say her name and rest in power for a reason and im gonna focus specifically on say her name because it was black women who wanted to call attention to the systemic violences that we have faced that have resulted in the deaths of so many of us which were left unrecognized. it was specifically addressing an issue within the black community wherein black femicides (particularly at the hands of the police/intimate partners) were not given the same spotlight as the murders of black men. we are always forgotten in life and in death and that is part of why the violence against us has been permitted to continue to the point that we are at a significantly higher risk of homicide than any other race. and the statistics are even more grim for black transwomen and femmes. for every nonblack victim of transphobic violence that gets recognition in their horrific death, there are 10 black victims whose names we never know. like that is the whole point of the phrase this shit is life or death for us and we know that the moment race is decontextualized from the nature of the phrase then that is when we are once again forgotten. but yall are acting like we’re trying to start genz tiktok lingo/aave co-opting discourse.
