almost forgot about that part. but i still have my wind footage from brecon beacon bhs
also i recorded steps which i put in a bit.
for some tension i have a shell ringing a bit.
Also i decided to cut it to an end quite appruptly. so you see the big fire and then you expect something but suddently it ends. might be a preview for a film or somethign like that.
spent looottsss of time on this keying.
Also i put a despill there. so inverted the roto from before so i have all the outlines, the things i dont want > blue sky. Erode node
color correct node > mask to inverted roto
HueCorrect>(from footage) take blue out. (in luminance and satuuration and blue sup)
>color correct node: pick colour which is similar to hair color. make background and make blue not shine through.
Somehow the rotopaint dissappeared. but this would have been anyways hard to track.
So rosie showed me a different way using a luminance keyer, take the blue channels and lower the range. (needs shuffle for the blue thingy)
this just replace with the roto paint from before. it makes a mask for the highlights (luminance)
Put it into merge color dodge node.
Make an inverted roto:
(used this first for te background, so he is not affected by this luma key. But now changed it to the actual roto, so i roto what needs to be affected.
roto>shape: source>foreground, blending mode>minus
Trying out many different things, since sometimes its not enough just these highlights. especially since the lgiht of the fire would not allow the shadows that are already there so i have to get somehow rid of them.... maaaannnooomaaann
Tried to make an hdri in c4d for the right light. found a picture that pictures the sky and the sun from that day. didnt patch something together... see if it works.
maybe too much light also from the backgroud....
hmm maybe ill try it with a physical sky and set there the sun...
now also as a test i check out the 3d track system of nuke..
oh while looking for a 3d track tutorial on pluralsight i found this
https://app.pluralsight.com/player?course=3d-rotation-trackers-trigonometry-nuke-284&author=chris-glick&name=3d-rotation-trackers-trigonometry-nuke-284-m2&clip=0&mode=live
hmmmm... so i could compose the whole thing in there...
