I don't think that transmasculine people are inherently more transmisogynistic than other tme people. I DO think that they are very much Not Immune To Transmisogyny, however, is the thing.

The reason you see trans women complaining about transmascs specifically is, well, the thing transmisogynistic dudes are constantly telling me- we share a community. Trans women can go to specifically transgender spaces and face misogyny and othering, be treated as dangerous predators or shameful sex objects. And then those of us who try to create our own spaces are harassed and demonized for being "divisive".

When you see trans women specifically complaining about transmasculine people, it's because, well, we expect better. We hope better. Many of us want to be in a community with you, but for that to happen we need that community to be safe for us.

people say folks with adhd struggle with "delayed rewards" aka long term goals and as such we tend to focus more on short term rewards. what they don't talk about is that at when we Do accomplish long term goals we don't actually feel anything proportionate to the amount of work we did to achieve it. In my head I suffered for a while and then money spontaneously appeared in my bank account.

Can I say something. I don’t think a flashback of Will and Mike meeting on the swing set is going to happen nor do I think it’s necessary… we already know all we need to know about that and it was honestly better through Mike’s retelling. An actual flashback would be flat in comparison. That scene was special because we were tuned into Mike’s feelings. All of those memories were about how they felt about Will and how he changed them for the better, not the actual events.

It could be referenced in a memory recovery sequence, but I honestly think it should stay as it is, especially with how Will is going to be growing into himself in the final season.

i guess the thing for me is that like. if you want to put an end to domestic abuse you have to be open to rethinking prisons, wage labour and the family unit. like if you're gonna drill down and really get to grips with what abuse and compulsion actually mean and prevent them wherever they arise, then that puts a lot of how our society is organised under scrutiny.

i'll exemplify. we have a society where it is acceptable to have an employment relationship that makes people think "well i don't want to be here, but because of economic forces i am forced to be comply". as long as we have that sort of society, we will also have romantic and sexual relationships where people think "well i don't want to be here, but because of economic forces i am forced to comply".

it's the same thing! we consider it acceptable for the market to force people to do things they don't want to do. that's the basis of our present society. and as long as that is the basis of our society, we will have situations where the market forces women to stay with their shitty boyfriends.
