The Unwanted
I don’t know what’s gotten into me the last several days but I have been a writing machine. Sadly, I haven’t been happy with anything that I’ve written. Here goes another ficlet. Sigh.
“Look, all I’m saying is that this behavior…it ain’t normal.” Han says, jerking his thumb back toward their mangled bedroom door.
Leia’s expression doesn’t seem to give her husband much hope as she paces the room and bites at her nails, nervously.
“Shhh. Keep your voice down. I don’t want him to hear us.”
“He’s got to be asleep by now. And besides, we can’t keep tip toeing around him, we’ve got to do something about this.”
“I know Han.”
“I’m worried about him Leia, he’s just getting…weirder.”
“I’m aware.”
“He mangled our bedroom door just because I wouldn’t let him come with me this week.”
“Well you’re never around.”
“Neither are you! And this whack job mumbo jumbo he’s inherited from Luke-”
“And me. Don’t be so insulting. He’s Force-sensitive.” Leia rolls her eyes. “What do you want me to do about it?”
“Yeah, no kidding.” Han snorts.
“Well…maybe I could have Luke talk to him again…he knows more about this than I do.” She shakes her head. “I think I’m going to pull him out of school. One more episode from him and they’ll expel him …that could ruin my career.” She says the last part under her breath.
“Pull him out of school? Then what will we do with him? Leia he needs help…I’m not so sure that pulling him away from his friends is a good idea.”
“What friends? He doesn’t have any. Where have you been Han?!”
Ben Solo, 10-years-old, sits with his knees pulled against his chest in the dark hallway outside his parent’s bedroom. It’s late at night but he’s not asleep. He’s heard everything.
He does his best to keep quiet although its a struggle not to whimper aloud as he chokes back tears and struggles to catch his breath as he begins to hyperventilate.
It was true, he had no friends. It was also true that his behavior was abnormal. But he couldn’t control these strange outbursts as much as he wanted to.
Fear, anger, sadness and confusion dance around his young, pounding heart. There’s a dull ache in his head that he’s had on and off for as long as he can remember. And an eery voice, one that comes and goes.
The voice is ragged and sinister and he’s frightened of it most of the time. However, it seeks to comfort him in moments like these — moments where he feels unwanted. The voice tells him the truth.
And now that his fears have been confirmed by what he’s just heard — the tears, they just won’t ebb. And his chest is getting tighter. He grips his shirt, trying to will the voices away — he’s terrified. He’s got to get away, before he destroys something else.
Freak. Monster. Loser. Weirdo. Big Ears. Ugly. Menace.
“Ben,” the silky voice of a young woman joins the voices tormenting him in his head. But this one doesn’t seem provoke him like the other voices do.
“Ben wake up!”
Dark eyes fly open, brimming with a mixture of tears and sweat. He’s a grown man now, not the small, skinny child he was seconds ago.
She comes into focus slowly. It’s her. The girl he’s heard so much about. And possibly the only person in the whole galaxy who ever knew him at all.
“Ben it’s okay,” she brushes sweat-soaked hair out of his eyes. He’s shivering and trembling and embarrassed. He wants her to go away and he wants her to stay forever all at once.
“It was just a dream,” she says. Her eyes are half open and sleepy as she reaches for him.
“Don’t,” he hisses, inching back, only to hit the wall behind his bed — her bed, wherever they are as the Force connects them across the galaxy. “Please.”
Her eyes are kind as she advances on him. His words are telling her to stop but his mind is pulling her closer. Before he knows it, he’s in the soft security of her warm arms. She’s kissing the top of his head. And finally, he gives in and he’s all around her, holding her tiny frame against him.
His skin sticks to hers as they connect.
“Let go,” she tells him. “You’re still holding on.”
And he does. The tears will not ebb and they’re sliding down her neck and chest, under her tunic as she pulls him tighter. She feels so good and he wonders how a person can smell like daisies even through a Force connection.
Finally, he’s able to catch his breath. And when he’s finally ready to face her, to use his words, he’s snatching at air.
Rey…
She’s gone, just like everyone else in his life.

Hey guys :)
Long time no see, huh?
I know the world has been crazy lately, and we are mostly all locked at home, and several people are stressed and with lots of free time. I’m an anxious person, and can’t help but worrying all the time and sometimes you just want to canalize that energy, you know?
And art has always helped me in an incredible way :) It keeps me concentrated, I feel like I’m making progress, I feel proud of what I’m doing… And that’s why I decided I want to share my linearts with you guys.
There’s over 50 pieces there (mostly reylo, you know me XD), with some of my favorite works, and some unfinished and never published too, that were sketches on my WIP folder and I finished the linearts just for this project. There are still some lines that I’m finishing, I’ll upload them during the week, but I hope you guys have fun ;)
My favorite works are there :D Also, there are some smutty ones, but they are on a separate folder ;) Oh, and some of them are from commissioned pieces, but if you’re one of the clients who commissioned any of these pieces and don’t want to see them there, just let me know and I’ll remove it. I just put them there bc some of my favorite reylo pieces are from commissions.
I’m sharing these pieces so you guys can print them at home and color them as you will, because I know a little art is all we need sometimes :)
Oh, and I know I said I would raise the commission prices a couple months ago, but this whole pandemic thing happened and I won’t do it until it’s over. So that’s it, commissions are also open, same prices.
If you guys want the linearts, the link is here.
They are free, and if you can’t afford a commission or something like that but enjoys reylo or some of the other pairings I’m sharing there and ould like to color this pieces, please help yourself.
That being said, the times are hard for everyone, so if you can and feel like it, please consider sending me a Ko-fi?
Part of that money will help 2 animal shelters that are going through some financial struggle during this crisis.
Thank you so much and have fun coloring! I sincerely hope you like it ;)
