How are you ruined?
ruined by loneliness
you are so lonely. you are miserable in your solitude. you hate that you cannot bring yourself to reach out, to ask for help. you will be forgotten by all who never knew you. your biggest fear is that you will die alone, and you know this fear will be seen to fruition. you refuse to extend yourself beyond the box that others put you in. and it is a box that no one dare come near. you are lonely because you are afraid of yourself.

Peyton did manage a half smile at the bartenders delivery, she was trying. “I’ll take a fruity cocktail, please” minus the fruit apparently, but it sounded like the perfect cure for the worst day, something that might just manage to make her forget her pain for just one night. "how's your day been?" tilting her head, wondering if anyone ever actually asked that question and meant it.
payne was good, at reading people. she guessed it helped in her position as a bartender. as it let her slip into the therapist role, so many wanted her to be. though babysitter was a more apt in some cases. ❝ hmm let's see, i can make ya a cocktail that's more alcohol than fruit. or we can go with vodka or whiskey. ❞ she shrugs, a small smirk pulling at her lips. hoping to at least make the other smile, somewhat.

Peyton shot her sister a sharp look, though the blonde had been fairly snappy for most of the morning. "I'm sorry", furrowed eyebrows softened. "I'm stressed over our case"

"so you're like kind of a pro?" tilting her head with a smile. Peyton wasn't too good at the socialising thing, but the idea of getting through these practices without talking to anybody was more daunting than not, if she could at least make one friend, the possibility of making more would marginly open up.
"I'm new to the team here, but I was on the team at my old school. My dad and I recently moved here. I thought I'd try and pick it up again when tryouts came around" Peyton had met the head cheerleader in question, Caroline Forbes a firey blonde with a strive for perfection. One of the reasons her gut was absolutly flipping waiting upon her arrival.
"I don't see anybody else here from the day when tryouts took place, is she really that bad? or did everybody just no show on her"
Elena was a little out of it today, she hadn't even noticed the new girl at first or she would have made some kind of move to socialize. She liked making new people feel welcome, part of the manners her mother raised her with while she was training Elena to be a little socialite.
"Oh uh... Yea, freshmen through junior year." She hadn't decided if she would be back next year, honestly she hadn't decided if she was staying this year. Everything was so different now. It was like after the crash she'd been stuck and the world kept moving. Now no matter how hard she tried it felt like Elena couldn't keep up. She couldn't catch up....
"You're the new girl... have you been a cheerleader before or? Well no that's a stupid question... Caroline wouldn't accept you on the squad if you were new...shes..... picky.... " To put it nicely...

The blonde hated to see her best friend in such a tight spot, Peyton didn't know how to help. "You let her in because she has the experience you needed to get the business off the ground". Something Brooke easily could have done, but it would have taken so much longer with no contacts. "remind her who's company it is Brooke, what does she actually provide for you?"
"what am i suppose to do, peyton?" brooke questions, her voice helpless. "she basically controls the company." she hated to admit it, but it was true -- without victoria's money, clothes over bros wouldn't be the major business it is today. "tell me, why'd i think it was a good idea to go into business with her?"

008. What is their favorite fairy tale?
answered from this meme (accepting)
Now call her basic but her favourite is sleeping beauty. Anna (her mother) used to read all kinds of fairytales to Peyton when she was young, but sleeping beauty was the last one she ever got to read to her.
Throughout the years Peyton treasured the story, not so much the movie because the disney remake wasn't the same story Anna would read to her and through the rest of her childhood years as she learned to read for herself sleeping beauty was always something she would turn back to when she was struggling with the loss of her mother.

"are you seriously letting bitch-toria tell you what to do?" Peyton would give anythin to have her mom back, and even she could sympathise with Brooke. "you're Brooke Davis, and while you may be her daughter, you've come all this way without her, don't forget that"

She wished she didn't mean it. Prayed that the feelings of abandonment and rejection would never come up when it came to Krissy, but that was her sister. She couldn't lose her too, not like she'd lost everything and everyone else.
Pools of green filling up with angry tears, the weakness in Krissy's voice as her name is spoken says a thousand words. She's scared.
"you can't go.. it's too dangerous out there"
Krissy had been the blondes light for years, when things got dark and seemed like there was no way through, Krissy always was able to pull Peyton out of the abis.
It was selfish to need her so much, but freezing her out was worse. Giving her the cold knee-jerk Peyton that only threats had come to know. "I'm sorry"
Sorry that she still meant every word. If Krissy left and walked into the war zone, Peyton knew she wouldn't be able to handle the possibility that her sister may not make it back. So by telling her not to come back at all settles that ultimatum. Krissy would be gone for good. A completely irresponsible and irrational thing to suggest, but fear had it's way of working.
"please.. don't leave me"

❣️ - What are their love languages?
answered from this meme (accepting)
Quality time and physical touch are her two most prominant love languages. Peyton tends to cherrish her time with her partners, and even friends some of the time- she's so used to people leaving these are the things that make her feel safer. Especially when it is reciprocated.

"and I thought my day was bad I was late for my shift at the grill, my car broke down half way into town" just past the old wickery bridge, but Peyton knew better than to bring up that location around Elena. Unfortunatly thats the way her luck seemed to run lately, but she didn't need to talk about it. The blonde had been used to misfortune for years and now her only goal was to start making some real friends. "need an ear to listen to your thoughts?"

Blonde curls bounced as the cheerleader stepped onto the basketball river court "hey" a shy wave followed by a smile, "I was hoping that you'd be here". There was always a good chance that Lucas would be, but tomorrow was never promised and things were forever changing. "you played a good game last night, I was thinking we do something to celebrate?"
