Steve shook his head, that certainly wasn't true, was Peggy tough as nails? Of course she was, but he'd seen her interact with children before, they loved her.
"I think you do, they don't scream like you're murdering them at least." He'd taken so many pictures with babies during his USO days, the screaming and crying before their mother's hurriedly took them back still rang in his ears as he remembered it.

Steve 100% believes babies don't like him, and with good reason, if every kid you got handed to take pictures with during the USO tour screamed bloody murder the second you looked at them, you would believe they hated you too.
This belief sticks with Steve until he holds his own baby for the first time.

Throwing the nightgown into a forgotten corner of the room, Steve smiled when he saw she'd come prepared.
"Damn... You're beautiful." He'd never get tired of her body, no matter the changes time brought. Peggy would always be beautiful to him.
"I love you, Sweetheart."
Steve smiled. It wasn't uncommon for them to neck like teenagers, so Steve had gotten good at finding ways to wind her up, her neck being one of the spots she liked to be kissed.
"Maybe I should help you out of your nightgown then, Sweetheart, if we're going to hop in the shower together."

Taking her hand, Steve smirked and moved towards the exit.
"Well, why don't we head back home and I can get out of this suit and into something you'll like better?"

Steve chuckled at her blush and pulled her closer to him.
She really did look beautiful. From the cut of her gown to the way her hair was styled, she was breathtaking.
He smirked when she said everyone was whispering about how he looked in his tux.
"Are they now? And what do you think of my tux, Miss Stark?"
Kara let her fingers trace over the lapel of his designer suit. It had taken some time before he was convinced to wear it but she had never seen him look so handsome. It made her wonder what he'd look like the day they were to marry. She swallowed hard at his question, cheeks crimson once more.
"Steve, although I've never seen you look this dapper and I have to say it's very sexy... I think I like you better in an underarmor shirt and jogging pants, or in your uniform. Those two people are Steve and captain america to me. This is just not who you are."
