I have no idea what to call it, but I'm working on an AU where Dream is this creature. He's a monster with white skin and glowing insides that can turn into a cute little felt toy as a disguise.

Badboyhalo, Skeppy, and Sapnap (10) are taking a walk on a path through the woods. As they approach, the monster worries its large figure and glowing features will give it away, so it turns into its toy form, hoping it'll be overlooked. Sapnap picks the toy up and decides to keep it. He names it Dream.

Sapnap sleeps with Dream every night. He believes the doll will keep him safe.

Dream can't stay in toy form forever. He still needs to eat to survive. At night, after Sapnap has fallen asleep, Dream sneaks away to find food.

For a while, Skeppy and Bad start to think the house is haunted. They sometimes swear they see something moving in the dark or hear thumping in the night. They sometimes see unsettling things they can't explain. One experience even leads Bad to believe Sapnap's doll is haunted.

One night, as Dream is sneaking out to get food, it turns out Sapnap is not as sound asleep as he thought.

Dream goes limp, hoping Sapnap will just believe he was seeing things. This does not happen.

Sapnap lays down, holding Dream facing him. He tells Dream he's not going to sleep or letting him out of his sight until Dream moves, so he had better do it already! After a couple of hours Sapnap is out like a light and Dream is able to go eat. The next morning Sapnap wakes up and sees that he failed to keep the doll under constant watch. He picks Dream up and looks at him. He tells him, "It's okay. I already know you can move. You don't have to show yourself. I'm sure you're just being careful, you know? You wanna keep the advantage so you can really take the bad guys off-guard. I get it."

Sapnap brings Dream with him everywhere he goes. He runs into some bullies (Quackity maybe?) who make fun of him for carrying around a doll. Sapnap tells them it protects him! They make fun of him more. Quackity says, "Oh, really? Can it protect you from this?" He pushes Sapnap, causing him to stumble and drop the doll. Sapnap starts to cry as the bullies mock him more. "What about this?" Quackity asks as he rears back for a punch. When his fist is launched forward it's stopped suddenly by a large freakish white claw. Quackity stumbles back and stares in disbelief.

The monster bares its teeth and snarls at the bullies, who turn tail and run.

From here we get a fuzzy gap... Dream and Sapnap become friends. How that develops I haven't worked out in detail as of yet. I just know that it starts with Dream deciding to protect Sapnap and Sapnap being grateful. And Sapnap being excited to have a sick ass monster friend.

Skeppy and Badboyhalo find out about Dream:

As a note: My DSMP!BBH design is a size shifter and I'm carrying that over to this AU. Defaulty 9ft but can get bigger and smaller than that. Nothing extreme, but he can definitely get significantly bigger than Dream.

Anyway that's everything I have so far :P

Whenever Technoblade wasn't an anarchist war hero he was the bugs bunny of the dream smp. He hid on a wanted poster of himself. He avoided a death trap by sending skeppy to go in, get exploded off camera and show up covered in ashes until he made it through. He met god and wasted a wish on a bell. Hbomb made him another death trap disguised as a playground and he made it through like it really was one. I am convinced he could have walked Dream out of the prision if he had improvised a dress out of his cape and winked at Sam

Clearing out old posts in my project folder. I have a stack of lore doodles for my dream monster doll AU.

Picking up right where the first post left off, after Sapnap rescues Dream, he tries to tell Skeppy and BBH about him, but they don't believe him. It's just Sapnap's doll that he carries everywhere.

Not knowing where the monster went, thinking it could maybe even be invisible, BBH and Skeppy are really worried about Sapnap's safety. Until the thing turns up again and they can get rid of it properly, BBH brings Sapnap to sleep in his room.

Dream can disguise as a doll, but he's still a living creature that needs to eat, so when Sapnap bring him to bed, he has to sneak out without waking up BBH.

He wakes up Sapnap, who is not too keen on staying in bed.

Dream knows Sapnap isn't supposed to be up this late and, despite his struggling, takes him back to bed.

But Sapnap makes a lot of noise during this, which wakes up BBH and alerts him to the fact that Sapnap is missing from his bed. Skeppy was awoken by the noises too and they both go to investigate the source of it. They find Dream carrying Sapnap and immediately start trying to figure out how to rescue Sapnap. Skeppy hits him as hard as he can with a wooden baseball bat, but the bat just breaks and Dream in unphased. Before they can think of anything else, Dream just approached BBH and gently offers Sapnap to him.

He then returns to his toy form.

So Skeppy and BBH are finally putting together that the toy and the monster really are the same, and maybe the monster is Sapnap's friend after all. But it's still clearly a REALLY dangerous creature and they don't know if they can trust it.

For now, BBH declares a truce between them and Dream on the condition that Dream sleep alone in Sapnap's room tonight so they can all get some sleep and talk about this situation properly in the morning.

Dream agrees to these conditions.

In the morning, Sapnap comes running excitedly to wake Dream, who is extremely groggy and still pretty hungry.

Dream turns into his toy form so Sapnap has to carry him to the kitchen.

At breakfast, while Dream and Sapnap are really excited they don't have to keep their secret anymore, Skeppy and BBH still really don't know how to feel about all this.

The only drawing I have concerning the family meeting is this one about Dream's lack of table manners.

And then I have one last drawing where Dream learns about Sapnap's fire powers for the first time. It was from a later segment where BBH gives Sapnap some trash and tells him to take care of it. Dream follows Sapnap into this mysterious metal shed where the walls and floor are covered in soot. Dream is extremely uneasy. He thinks Sapnap is going to be irresponsibly playing with fire so he keeps trying to stop him. In the process Sapnap accidentally gets a papercut, and then deals with it by summoning a flame to cauterize the wound. Dream is eventually properly informed that Sapnap is a fireborn and that BBH and Skeppy regularly give him burnables to take to the shed to practice controlling his powers.
