Truly my two dads is a palette cleanser bc when i think about tlts for too long I do get irate. Like it's a funny show but it is a very 2012 show in so many ways. Still not checking my notes or messages so this is effectively a message in a bottle. But I wanted a post on my blog while I still had the steam. Bc My Two Dads is such a good show. And how its clear that the execs won't let them talk about gayness b/c of the shows premise but there's jokes for an adult audience who knows about gayness. But they never feel mean, and I suspect like Fraiser that there were gay ppl or allies working on the show. Like its effectively also a world where like .....dangerous homophobia doesn't exist and is never named. And isn't it wild we have yet to have a comedy like this since, sure theres Modern Family, but it's not like Cam and Mitchell had a spinoff. And the Fosters was not a comedy, it was strictly a drama that had like... jokes here and there but it was an abc family drama at the end of the day. It find it a beautiful show because I can see the machinations in place and the effort overall. edit: its white as hell i was gonna start by saying that but I forgot, its a very white show

i started typing up this huge thing and its gone now. So all im gonna say is that i left because i blocked the app on my phone to work on school during the weekend. And then bc im me, because i started and didnt set an end to when the app would be blocked.... I kept it blocked. Ive been talking w friends (online mutuals ) who like grew up on this site (joined it when they were a couple of years younger than me). And like... shits bleak on here. Truly bonkers that a site w non word limit has ppl digging their heels in n ignoring nuance and assuming a whole bunch of shit about ppl. If my new psych can put me on anti anxiety meds that prevent my daily panic attacks... Then i might be back. Or mb sooner. Ive turned anon off and my discord is amazighcutie. I havent looked at my askbox since before i blocked it on that saturday

My monthly reminder to Tumblr that Black people exist all over the world. This implication that whenever a Black person's experience is brought up it "must be US centric" is ridiculous and low-key a dogwhistle atp. Black people are global. Antiblackness is global. I assure you that even if the Black people in your country don't deal with race the same exact way they do in the US, does not mean there aren't similarities in experience. Perhaps look for them in your spaces and LISTEN.
