Everyone's allowed to have an opinion, some should not be shared in the tags, though.

So many have already pointed out why they like Kate. Why I like her is she's not there to fix the suitor. She doesn't try to change him to conform to her ideals. Instead, she accepts that part of him if she is to be with him. And if anything (at least in Will's route), he "fixes" Kate, by helping her be more true to herself.

That's his entire reason for reading romance novels - he is curious about love, this feeling he doesn't understand. So he studies it by reading romance novels and still claims to not know what this thing called love is.

He won't know what love feels like until he meets and falls for Emma

I got to understand a little bit of Chevalier's personality today (after playing the event). Although he says 'love' doesn't have value and he won't gain anything from love, he still made sure that Emma's family accepted her business proposal (spoilers for Wildest Dreams story event) and stated that he would cover any losses. I think that itself proves that Chevalier does know the meaning of love and deep down enjoys it.

I feel like the reason he's so into reading romantic novels even though he claims they're nonsensical could be because he's curious about love? And that he wants to know how it actually feels like to be in love with someone.
