Floppy Restoration

Completely tore down the floppy drive. It was caked with dust and dried up old grease. Re-lubricated it with some new white lithium grease. It moves as smoothly now as it did when it was new.

It still didn’t read the first time I tried it though. Luckily I still have one of those old head cleaning disks. A drop of alcohol and a spin around with the cleaning disk, and this old drive is up and running again.

Time to see how many old floppies have survived the years.
