She/Her, Born in '96. Random fandoms was supposed to be an artblog, have unnecessary feelings for lawer-game and looooong Desert Movie. AA, TGAAC, Lawrence of Arabia
i am just not a shitposts person at heart. the silly ones are fine and fun but i'm really really not here for the quippy ironic "isn't it so funny that i performatively hate the things i claim to be a fan of" energy. i'm here for earnestness. i'm here for genuine love and celebration of the things you're a fan of. i'm here for meta posts and rewatching and digging in and doing analysis for fun and having discussions and rotating scenarios around in my mind while staying true to who the characters actually are and i'm here for making art and edits and writing fics and engaging with fanworks from others and just love. just loving these characters and their stories and the people who love them.
there is something so wrong with a world in which a movie has to have a huge opening weekend and a book has to have a huge amount of pre-orders to be a success
Apparently the local university’s undergraduate entomology course sends students to catch insect specimens at the same place I like to go birdwatching, which explains why I saw three enormous frat looking dudes with tiny bug nets and overheard one emphatically say “bro BRO I told you we already have enough lepidopterans”
i think that people should start using “in poor taste” as a descriptor again given it is often the most applicable and clearest phrase when discoursing about media and analysis; sometimes a piece of art isn’t actually THE most problematic thing of all time is is. just in poor taste (not JUST in poor taste as a reductive take on potential harm but/and as in regardless of intent the impact is this was an offensive or stupid take/choice)
I think it’s very important that we all remember just how hilariously disco the Original French Concept orchestration is. I just imagine Enjolras singing this and groovily swaying his head and sexily smirking at the camera. And disco lights, obviously.
‘i have to take medication because my immune system decided kinkshaming the trees is more important than breathing’ is objectively an insane concept. thumbs down to seasonal allergies.
