Up until the Epilogue, I thought under Dash's bandages would have appeared her other sclera to have changed color to resemble that of Fluttershy, so that Dash had now heterochromia.

Oh, what an interesting idea! I wish I thought of that earlier.

It was threatening to steal it from them, but it couldn’t actually do it while possessing Dash already. The way that this demon works is that it has to absorb all of the energy from the one its possessing first, and then it fuses with the body to complete the process. After the whole process is complete, the demon would now have a new form and would then repeat the process and get stronger as it keeps taking control over every creature. It was just attacking them to make them weaker so that it could just possess them after it was done with Dash.

Yeah, when they hear the news they’re definitely not going to take it well. They’ll all have to be relocated somewhere else. But maybe Angel would go live with Dash once she’s back home.

And here’s the epilogue! A little scene of what will happen to Rainbow Dash after what’s happened. And basically once she’s done with her treatment, she begins her training and practices to go against the Wonderbolts at the next event, and will eventually join the team.

I didn’t think I’d come up with a nice ending (minus the death of Fluttershy and all the victims) but I was able to make it work. Once again, thank you everyone for following the blog, and it’s a weird feeling to have a project like this to be over.

Is dash both elements, now?

Oh like Loyalty AND Kindness? Kinda I guess...she won’t get Fluttershy’s ability to talk to animals, but having her soul/energy as a part of her might cause her to act more kind in certain situations. I wouldn’t say she received the whole element though.

So one Question. What happened to Scootaloo? Like did she survive the fall? Are her and Dash ever going to make up?

I had an alternative idea planned for a scene where Dash and Scootaloo would find each other in the hospital after the events with the demon. They’d wake up and Scoots would be overjoyed to see Dash again, and she’d forgive her for what happened because she knew the real Dash wouldn’t do such a thing. She’s still alive, but ended up breaking her leg and getting a concussion from the fall. 

Even without showing this scene, they will still be on good terms, and Dash will help take care of her while she recovers.

Wait, I thought Fluttershy said Luna was trapped inside Rainbow Dash. Did she get out when the demon was caught or what? If she was in there that long, what was happening to her all that time? Was she being tortured? Was it stealing her power too?

She was trapped, but the demon couldn’t do much with her since it was already controlling Dash and taking her energy. It’s only able to take energy from a living being by possessing them one at a time. So when Fluttershy separated the demon from Dash, Luna was able to escape and warn Celestia.

And that’s it! The official ending to the blog! However, I did mention I’d be doing a brief epilogue that follows Dash’s recovery. I still plan on doing that, however, since I’m doing it in a comic format, it’ll take me a bit more time to get ready, so I’m thinking it’ll be a couple weeks before that gets out. 

But I’d like to give a huge thank you to everyone who’s followed the blog! Whether you’re brand new or have stuck around for the 6 years (4 years active) that I’ve been doing this, I loved seeing how much support the updates got over the years. You guys are awesome!

This will probably conclude my MLP work, at least major story-type projects like this. I’ll probably still draw ponies from time to time, but I’m more focused on furry/anthro content nowadays.

Dash fell asleep and is now dreaming this. She finds Fluttershy since her soul/energy is still within Dash, but she is considered dead in the real world. Her soul takes on the form of her body in Dash’s dream, but it’s no longer physical, and now she’s only able to exist within Dash’s mind. I hope this makes some sense...
