I don't know who needs to hear this (actually, I do), but in-game romanceable NPCs belong to no one.
Even if you truly believe, in your absolute deluded lunacy, that one of these NPCs is the love of your life, you cannot actively prevent an entire fanbase from romancing this character.
Harassing and stalking other people who also romance this character is not only fucked up, it's overwhelmingly toxic. Moreover, if you then piss and moan that "no one likes me or my characters," step back and take a long, hard look at your gross, annoying behavior and do the fucking math.

so i always like to poke at the raid scene in any mmo i try, and i have to say, the ops in this game are really fun. i've mostly stuck to story mode so far, but have just begin venturing into vet with a friendly guild that adopted me. i like that most ops have pretty simple but enjoyable baseline encounters, with more mechanics layered on as you choose to do the more challenging modes.
i get the vibe that swtor people on tumblr tend to be solo players, who prefer to avoid group content for various reasons. (no shade, i get it, i have anxiety too.) but with how low pressure some of the sm ops are, i really do recommend checking them out if you haven't.
that said, if anyone is ever looking for a chance to try them and wants some guidance or just a friendly face, i would be happy to help :)

Cuando toque votar el 23J, recordad: antes cerdo que fascista.
Next Sunday we’re having general elections in Spain, and a whole movement has started around Porco Rosso to encourage people to vote against the rising fascism in my country. He’s become the perfect icon… and well, it’s time to fight (again) to keep our rights.

SWTOR Outfit Designer Meme
It works like this:
-Someone sends you the name of one of your PCs.
-You reply with how many outfits they have in Outfit Designer.
-Post a picture of at least one outfit and talk about it!
–Tell us the pieces in it.
–Tell us why your character wears this. What does it say about them? Why do they like this set?
Please reblog far and wide, and send asks when you see it on your dash!

Another one of those mental thought pieces since I saw something that somewhat irked me a bit. Though I have to admit this has been ongoing for a while since the more vocal side of the swtor fandom doesn’t like this character much, if at all. But I find their reasonings for doing so are…short sighted? or at the very least, not taking into account the background context of the situation.
“He was always good to Zakuul.” <- this line, this one particular line which is only said under a specific circumstance is one that’s repeatedly held against Koth Vortena in regards to Valkoriate. (Yep meshing names even though i’m reminded of the colgate toothpaste.) Said line is only spoken at the end of the second round of Asylum after the Arcann fight. My memory’s hazy on the exact timing since it’s been a long time since I’ve gone through KotFE, but I do remember the circumstances in which it’s said. It only ever pops up if the player hasn’t taken one specific option to borrow Valkorion’s power to ‘finish’ Arcann off quickly with a lightning show. Or they refused the prior offers and didn’t get forcefully taken over for that segment. If the option is taken and Koth sees just how destructive and indiscriminate the lightning is, he starts questioning his former ruler a bit. Just a bit. But the seed of doubt has been set. It’s just unfortunate that due to changes in plan and the lack of depth in the entire Knights arc, that it doesn’t continue that push. So why doesn’t Koth just believe us if we say Valkorion is bad/evil? Because that’s not what he *knows*. It’s not what he’s seen. On Zakuul, everything Valkorion is…it’s a very carefully made and constructed image of a benevolent leader. Good to their people and achieving grand things with the assistance of the Knights and Scions. Valkorion took the Zakuulan people from tribal groups to the stars, built large cities, kept them safe, sheltered, free from any attack after the matter with the Eternal Fleet. No one was starving to death, dying of thirst, no fighting or wars. No constant threat of torture. You didn’t need to worry too heavily about money and you could follow your pursuits at your leisure due to the droids doing all the menial work for you. Even state of the art medical care and education was included and it was all thanks to Valkorion. Rich or poor. The cost was a lot of aspects of personal freedom. Particularly critical thinking. After all, why should you question a living god who’s given you anything and everything you could want or need? This is why, Koth never questions Valkorion’s standing on the morality scale. Valkorion never launched an attack, Arcann did. The Knights never engaged in cruel acts but Arcann allowed that and even worse his mother was in on it which he finds ironic. Sure times were tough and during the Lady of Sorrows chapter if you choose to take him to speak with the Heralds over Senya, he’s able to speak to them calmly because he lived in Breaktown. He knows the life and how much of a struggle it was, but even though it was difficult, it was still miles better than elsewhere in the galaxy. Any news regarding the palace or Valkorion himself always painted him in a good light. Information very carefully controlled. Enough so that Zakuul falls apart at the seams after Valkorion dies. People start questioning Arcann who paid off the entire nobility just so they would keep complacent. But remove him and Vaylin and the people don’t know what to do with themselves. There’s a odd emotional detachment from everything among the people as Senya remarks on. With the people from the upper levels coming down to the lower ones in order to “feel something”. Enough detachment that they’re able to watch the suffering of other people in the galaxy and find it “entertaining” like a soap opera or reality TV. Ironically, its the background that Koth has that enables him to stand up to Senya and the Knights when they start attacking innocent people during the ‘retaliatory’ beat down the Eternal Fleet performed on everyone else. Unlike most people on Zakuul he still has a sense of honor and can’t ignore people suffering. He also doesn’t like it when unrelated people get dragged into another’s fight. Which is why he confronts the Alliance Commander and takes away what is essentially the most powerful weapon in their arsenal. Something that’s essentially a holy relic in ship form to the people of Zakuul. Why leave a nuke in the hands of someone who doesn’t care about the additional casualties? The commander could show him Ziost, but to Koth who wasn’t there and didn’t see anything, it’s the actions of another person. Not proof that it was *his* emperor that did it since the personalities of Vitiate and Valkorion are so far apart from one another that they may as well be completely different people. Something that is evidenced by Echoes of Oblivion where the Scions get slaughtered by the Emperor’s Servants and they’re calling the same overall figure by two different names. You can try and talk them down, even try and get Arcann to do it, but Vitiate/Valkorion have had both groups wrapped around their fingers and that’s all they know. Nothing else. Even Senya who was a mistress and saw most of Valkorion’s bad side never speaks a bad word about him. It’s always being toned down to “cold” and “distant”. Despite the fact that it was an abusive and neglectful relationship. That’s one of the awkward things about some of the omnipotent storytelling that SWTOR takes at times. All the information is being disclosed to the player but when a character who only has a limited set of knowledge says something the player finds daft then out comes the rage, rather than looking at the big picture. Information is a powerful tool and while on the surface to the people of Zakuul, their world is paradise, underneath that there’s nothing but numb bubble wrap. You remove struggle and you lose resilience to deal with stress, as well as empathy for others suffering whether it’s the same problems or different ones. Remove critical thinking and you get people who don’t know how to question things or reassess historical events/people. Or even that they SHOULD at times.
