How well can we possibly know them? I question everything I've ever learned about them, because nothing ever adds up. Like how Liam was a track star who appeared on X-factor but nobody came to his 16th birthday. Like how Harry is a feminist (remember 'I'm with her?') but wrote from the heart a personal album about cliched women driving him wild. How Louis was the bold prankster, the self-proclaimed flamboyant one always laughing but really he was shy and riddled with self doubt.

The thing is, even though none of this shit adds up, I think we've been staring at these boys long enough to where we do kind of know them. We know when shit rings false, like Louis, raised by his mother and devoted to his 5 sisters would carelessly get a girl pregnant and treat her as an afterthought while hooking up publicly with an actress. You don't even have to think he's gay to know that's bullshit. And I've seen enough genuine moments from Harry that I don't buy that this "rock n' roll messiah" crap is coming from him. I have my own theories as to why his image isn't the kind of thing we thought he would fight for once he was "free," and it's complicated but it boils down to he's NOT free. Harry seems like he's given up in a lot of ways. He's definitely not calling the shots. None of them are.

Ultimately we will probably never have proof of these things. Not unless the whole Truman Show is exposed somehow ( I still can't help but hope for that though!). But when I think about the (few) pure moments we get from them, often on-stage banter or an unexpected moment in an interview (not that important) I think we see them. And I think we can know them just a little bit. It's enough for me to stick around.

You know what I’ve been thinking lately… I’ve read people saying, “This isn’t the real Harry! Jeff is making him do it. It’s for promo! It’s for his album…” What if this is the real Harry and he played us like a fiddle while he was in 1D? When did he become friends with Jefe? 2013???

Hell,they all could be lying to us. We don’t know them like we think we do.

All the infighting in the fandom right now is making me sad. I just want to support the boys and share it with others that do. I love 5/4 (yes Zayn too). Cheryl is said to be increasingly ‘exasperated’ by partner Liam Payne , with the ten year age gap between the two becoming more apparent.

The two first met when Liam was only 14-years-old as he auditioned to get a place on X Factor when Cheryl was a judge in 2008.

Cheryl split from her husband Jean Fernandez-Versini in 2015 and was snapped in a cosy selfie with Liam months later.

They continued: 'When Cheryl first got with Liam, their chemistry quashed any doubts over the age difference, and she fell pregnant with Bear when they were still in the honeymoon phase. But now things seem different and Cheryl’s had a bit of reality check.

'She loves Liam deeply, but has come to realise how different they are. He suggested celebrating her birthday with a big night out, but she just wanted a quiet dinner with friends.’

Following Bear’s birth in March, Liam has been busy promoting his new solo career.

The dad was recently forced to miss his first Father’s Day at home with his family as he toured Europe with single Strip That Down.

Jet-setting Liam met up with former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan at a gig last week after he awkwardly, referred to his relationship with Cheryl as 'the dream stuff when you’re 14.’

While Liam has taken part in a string of promotional interviews, Cheryl has taken some time out of the limelight since falling pregnant with Bear last year.
