I love how Owlman’s mask in the animated movie has these two big, unrelenting and unblinking eyes.

They never move, widen or emote.

Much like Owlman’s own nihilistic worldview about how nothing matters, they never change.

In a way, they’re the PERFECT contrast to Batman’s traditionally animated white eyes.

You can never tell emotions from Owlman’s eyes, just his mouth. Because like Batman said, “he looked into the abyss, blinked…” and he never blinked again.

you don't get it. i miss batman. except not that batman, and not that guy's batman, and not that guy's batman, but this highly specific iteration of batman that coalesces after you're hundreds of batman comics deep and you figure out that everyone in your entire life has lied to you about batman this entire time. i miss that specific batman
