As 2016 slowly winds down we in the Life is Strange team have taken a little look back over the past few years for Life is Strange. There’s a lot to be thankful for, including what an incredibly supporting network of communities we have in all nooks and crannies of the internet.
At the bottom of this blog we’ve highlighted a handful of people who we think have really helped shape the Life is Strange community, but there are many, many more people out there who in their own way embody the spirit of Life is Strange and are just as important – we reckon you might already be thinking of some right now..!

Chris and his team have managed to set up and successfully run probably the most intricate and awesome fansite we have ever seen. Even now they’re running a massive community giveaway and their success and energy shows no signs of slowing!
The Blackwell Podcast team
The Blackwell Podcast launched their pilot podcast in August 2015 and have since then recorded over 30 episodes with special guests such as voice actors and members of the DONTNOD and Square Enix teams. They even managed to raise over $3000 for charity during their Extra Life Live Stream!

Koethe is a musician whose Life is Strange inspired music managed to strike a chord with everyone who has listened to it. His recognizable style and compositions have (with his blessing) been used on loads of Life Is Strange fan videos and he himself has also collaborated with the community on a bunch of projects.

The year is drawing to a close, and we at Blackwell Podcast don't want you to miss out on this huge contest our family at @arcadiabayfans are having as the sun sets on 2016!
We’re excited to announce the Life Is Strange Christmas Multimedia Contest & Prize Draw!
As our final contest of 2016, and as a way to top off the end of the year, we wanted to make this a big one. With a massive 25 Prizes, some of which are rare and much sought after, we certainly think we’ve achieved that.
Every day in December leading up to Christmas, from the 1st to the 25th, there will be a new prize to be won. This 25-day-long event is inspired by Christmas Advent Calendars and our Staff Artist Mai has produced another fantastic piece of promo art, with the full piece being slowly unveiled each day as the prizes are awarded and the countdown to Christmas continues.
The first 20 prizes can be won by simply entering the Prize Draw component of the Contest using the form below. You will first need to share this Competitions page on one of the social channels by clicking on the relevant share button to unlock the Entry Form. Just enter your Name, Address and any relevant Social Channel links and you’ll be entered into all 20 Prize Draws in December. If you win something however, your name will be removed from the Prize Draw pool as each person can only win 1 Prize each.
The 2nd component of the Contest gives you a chance to win the top prizes, including the very hard to get Life is Strange Soundtrack on vinyl, and the replica of Chloe’s Tri-Bullet Necklace. We will be looking for multimedia that mixes Life is Strange with a Christmas theme in 4 possible Categories. They are:
Fan Art (2D)
Fan Art (3D)
Cosplay
Photography
There will be 1 Winner from each Category and those 4 Winners will be entered into their own separate smaller Prize Draw to win the Ultimate Prize, which includes:
x1 Chloe’s Tri-Bullet Necklace
x1 Life is Strange Soundtrack on Vinyl
x1 Life is Strange Limited Edition on PC (includes CD Soundtrack)
x1 Super Rare Prototype Life is Strange Tote Bag (only 2 ever made!)
x1 Blackwell Hoodie from Insert Coin Clothing
The other 3 entrants will still win either a Vinyl Soundtrack (1 available) or a Tri-Bullet Necklace (2 available)
Friday November 18th: Contest Launches. Prize Draw form opens and call for entries to the Christmas Multimedia component of the Contest for the bigger prizes.
Thursday 1st December – Tuesday 20th December: Prizes drawn and announced for the Prize Draw Prizes each day.
Friday 16th December: Entries for Multimedia Contest Closes.
Wednesday 21st December: Winner of the Cosplay Category Announced.
Thursday 22nd December: Winner of the Fan Art (3D) Category Announced.
Friday 23rd December: Winner of the Photography Category Announced.
Saturday 24th December: Winner of the Fan Art (2D) Category Announced.
Sunday 25th December: Ultimate Prize Winner Announced.
Users may submit to all 4 Categories but the same person cannot win in more than 1 Category.
The Fan Art (both 2D and 3D) and the Cosplay must have a Christmas theme and must feature characters from Life is Strange.
The Photography must be Christmas themed but does not have to be Life is Strange related since photography itself is a reference to Life is Strange.
No nudity or excessive gore in any of the submissions please.
Each User can only submit 1 entry per Category.
Multimedia entrants may also enter the Prize Draw component of the Contest.
If you win a Prize Draw prize your name will be removed from the prize pool, as entrants can only win 1 prize each.
The Prize Draw entries closes at midnight UK time on Wednesday 30th November.
The Multimedia Contest entries closes at midnight UK time on Friday 16th December.
