it's really funny as I do my bi-annual look back at Halo 5 I feel myself forgiving its messiness and where it was trying to go as I rifle through more of the lore and the behind the scenes.

I, like many fans, thought that Halo 5 making Cortana "evil" was an insult to her character and her sacrifice at the end of 4, but apparently that was the plan the whole time. Brian Reed and Frank O'Connor were discussing the outline of Halo 5 and its ending before Halo 4 was even discussed, apparently. They describe the plan as Cortana survives the end of 4, comes back, and has a plan that people don't agree with. They specifically say she's not evil. It's just. when you want to tell a story like that, you can't really use the medium of video games to explore complex character motivations when your dialogue is drowned out by gunfire, the target audience wants a black-and-white story of good and evil, and there's several years between each installment. That just makes your games look like they're undoing the work of the previous installment rather than having a clunky character arc that could have gone somewhere.

Anyway, catch me in 5-7 business years getting soft on Infinite's campaign and Escharum if I keep this pattern up. I gotta go dig up Tbonechessor's video again because it really does feel like that.

I just wish Halo 5 and Infinite didn't end where they did and we got some consequences.

Oh yeah artificial teeth made of something different makes sense, I had interpreted this as coating the existing teeth which seemed high effort and silly.

Random thing I just thought of, do you thing the Spartan-IIs Carbide Ceramic Ossification augment also effected their teeth?

i don't think so. it's noted that the ceramic on the bones has to be very limited in order to prevent severe side-effects, and not even the more dramatic spartan skull concept art i've seen had anything on the teeth.
