Blue liked the sound of that, it was all over his face as it lightened up. The competition aspect felt more official and had more stakes. As a thrill seeker he was always onboard for that and able to show off was always a plus.

"You're on Grimsley! May it is!"

Grimsley easily sparked the competitive spirit in Blue. While he was already planning to add this to his calendar, Blue had a funny idea.

"And hey see if you can manage to drag Nanu with you too, Been wondering what the guys been up to. You have my number right? Maybe I can get Red and Rika to join us too."

Seemed like Blue was making sure this whole thing turned into a party.

"Oh no there's no set date, simply keep it in mind the next time you decide to visit is all~ I'm not one to favor deadlines or plans or any of the sort. Arrive whenever you feel and we'll set something up then. Buuuut if you need a more formal competition to be excited for, there is another spring event in Ula'ula for surfers coming around in mid-May."

[ ...Oh dear. Looks like his surfing alias has the potential to be brought to light now. ]

He wasted no time pulling out his pokeball from his belt. Throwing it to reveal his behemoth of a Gyarados, eager to launch itself at whatever Rika threw at it.

"Don't disappoint me now"

Blue flipped his hair and posed pointing for his pokemon to charge a water attack. He wasn't wasting those precious seconds.

"I'll only give you a kiss if you battle me. I'm not giving these out for free, ya know."

Oh those were some magic words right there. Interested? Immediately.

"Gonna have to specify if thats with my Pokemon or my own hands real quick, bud."

His ears were burning...That sounded like it'd be an awesome trip to take. The prompt was a bit out of the blue but he was down for it!

"Yeah? Whats the date of the event? Give me some time and I'll definitely be there! "

Blue was incredibly hyped to hear there was competition happening back in Alola. Though last time his trip was funded by Aether Foundation so his expenses were paid for. Maybe he could use his resources to go back to the battle tree again. A break from his constant work.

"Eavesdropping isn't very nice bud"

But he was right.

"I haven't been there in a while but maybe after works done I could make up an excuse to go"

Messaging his friend was pretty easy, he waited until the recording showed up to plug in his headset and listened in.

It was unsettling.

Red expressing his mental state usually meant he was...Trying to process something. Blue wanted to help him not let this distract him from the bigger picture in whatever situation he's gotten himself into.

Jet looks at the child in confusion and was slightly offended. They're great parents thank you very much, better than some dumb fireball.

Blue on the other hand couldn't help but enjoy the kids oversharing about pokemon. It was just so abrupt. "Well we can't all have good taste. " he joked.

"Just messing with you. I can't be biased Hotwings has been a quick learner, observant and a pretty good aid. Not sure about how they would raise a kid but I'm glad it worked out... " He's not sure he really believes that they were raised by bird pokemon but eh weirder stuff had happened.
