Your cousing Jabba is dead. His cowardly Majordomo usurped his territory and then I killed him. All that is his belongs to me now.

May the 4th be with You! 🤗
I might have spent way less time than usual on this piece but I think it turned out good enough ^^'
And it's actually my 7th card featuring Boba Fett with a flower bouquet! I started this "tradition" in 2017 but I missed SW Day in 2019 :(

Salty Fandom Asks: #17
Thank you for the ask 😋
17: Instead of XYZ happening, I would have made ABC happen…
If I were the showrunner of The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian, I would have taken Din Djarin out of The Book of Boba Fett entirely. Temuera Morrison deserved to be the focus of his own show! Boba Fett’s such an insanely cool and iconic character that I can’t believe they fumbled it that badly.
I don’t know exactly how I would have written the show, but I would have made Boba and Fennec’s relationship more central to the plot. I think it also would have been cool for one of Boba’s old ghosts from his younger days to come back to haunt him. Maybe Cad Bane (with a lot more plot relevancy) or another enemy bounty hunter. The show had so much potential, especially with humanizing the Sand People. I also have very strong thoughts on Mando S3 but that’s a whole damn essay.

Fated Ch 5
Choose Your Own Adventure (voting by poll at the end of the chapter)

”Uh, well you see…” you began. Clearing your throat, you started over, “I uh, race speeder bikes sometimes. Just amateur at the track. Anyway, I was thinking about upgrading my ride. Want to help me test drive?”
His eyes lit up. “Definitely,” he purred, “Let me grab my riding jacket and we can go.” He led you to his small quarters. As he dug around for his jacket, he asked, “How much power are we talking?”

”Oh,” you thought about your illegal speed mods. “Mm average,” you mumbled.
“You know, somewhere around here I have some speed mods laying around… they’re not, uhm. Strictly speaking Legal. But they’re fun.” He tilted his head to look at you.
You were already grinning. “Yeah I have a couple myself. I’ll tell you about ‘em on the way over.”
***
“So what type of repulsorlift are we thinking of, hm? A nice, safe hovercraft for the lady, perhaps? We have a nice, powder blue one over here —“

Boba interrupted, “Speeder bikes. Show us your fastest.”
Taken aback, the salesperson blinked in confusion. Then they nodded, “Sure, a nice speeder bike, for the sir…”

”For the Lady,” Boba corrected.
“—er, for the lady, yes yes… uh, fast ones, right? We have several new models, for racing.” They turned their head to gauge your reaction as they led you.

”Exactly,” you commented, already wondering which ones they had on the floor and available for test driving. This would be fun.
***

”So, uh, this is how you brake,” the salesperson began. You were already seated on the bike.
“I got this,” you adjusted your goggles and zipped your jacket up. They nervously backed away.
“Ready?” Boba was also seated on the bike he was going to be testing for you. You had landed on two possible models, by different manufacturers. They were similar in power and weight. You wanted to know which one was the steadiest. After all, you were going to be stripping it down and modding it for speed.
“Yeah, let’s head out,” You started your speeder bike and revved the engine, getting a feel for it.
“Ladies first…”
You nodded at him and took off, to the beginning of the track.
***

You were having trouble deciding. You had ridden both, swapping with Boba after a few laps around the small track. You were annoyed; you felt like you couldn’t fully open it up to see what it could do. Sitting on the second bike, you pondered and asked Boba what he thought.
Silence.
You looked over your shoulder. The other bike was riderless. But you noticed someone walking towards you. Boba grinned and sauntered up. Hopping on the bike, he announced, “Now it’s time for me to surprise you.”

You shrugged, “What’d you do?”

He laughed, “Why do you ask it like that? Well, I was a little bad. Anyways, I mostly nicely asked if we could take them off the track and around the gorge just right there.” He nodded towards an outcropping of rock which opened up to the gorge.
“How’d you do it!” You exclaimed, delighted.
“I, uh, used my exceptional social skills,” he shrugged. “I know you want to really open them up and see what they can do. So let’s race for real. I’ll follow your lead to the entrance of the gorge, then we’ll race around it. Last one back has to buy the other one a drink.”

You agreed, feeling like you’d win either way. But, you were determined to beat him all the same.
***
“Okay, count down from three.” You nodded and pulled your goggles down over your eyes.
Boba counted down, “…one!”

You let the engine roar to life, holding nothing back. You felt your body jolt from the force and held on for dear life as you accelerated. Gleefully, you pulled ahead for an early lead. You daringly threaded two rock formations — a secret, dangerous shortcut that would shave off about 2 seconds from your time.
Coming out of the narrow passageway, you found yourself behind Boba! Impossible; you gawked. You opened the engine up again and tried to pass him, but he held you at bay.
Racing through a glade of twisted, dried up trees, you curved around a large one and through a brambly bush.
Spitting twigs out of your mouth, you tried to cut Boba off. But he was too fast! He roared ahead again, tantalizingly just in front of you. You tried another risky shortcut, roaring up a narrow pathway. You zoomed along it until it veered right. You needed to turn left to get back on track. You jumped it, jerking your speeder bike to the left and launching it into the air. You managed to leap frog over Boba, landing so hard you felt the impact in your guts.
Staying focused, you revved the engine again and felt it accelerate almost too fast for you to hold on. At the edge of what was possible on the bike, you roared over the sandy landscape, Boba right behind you. He gave you no reprieve, trying to pass you at every opportunity. But you held on to your lead.
Finally you both curved left and the gorge opened up to the fairly wide straightaway. This was it; the final part of the race. You grit your teeth and let the bike go. Despite the speed, it handled well. You heard Boba approaching from your left. He was coming! Desperate to hold on to your lead, you hunched down to try to become more aerodynamic.
The boulder you were using as a finish line loomed large. So close, close, close, Yes! You barely finished ahead of Boba, who had gained an incredible amount of distance back. You both slammed on the brakes, coming to a halt abruptly.
Out of breath from exhilaration, you pulled your goggles up. “Yes!” You gloated. You turned to look at him.
He was dusty, grinning at you. “I’d say best 2 out of 3, but these are supposed to be on the dealer floor.” You both laughed at their sorry state; they’d need a full washing and probably an oiling. But you had decided on a new speeder and hopefully impressed Boba in the process of kicking his ass. You smirked to yourself as you and Boba carefully took the speeders back to the dealer.
***

After careful negotiation, you put a downpayment down on your speeder bike and drove it off the lot. They had washed it for you, which was nice considering how dirty you’d brought both of them back.
Boba held onto your waist; he had easily hopped on the back as your passenger when you’d asked him if he wanted a ride back to his ship.
***
“So, those mods… you wanna work on my new bike with me? I could use the help.” You shrugged.
“Of course. Why don’t you leave your new bike here and bring your old bike over tomorrow? We can work on them both in the hangar, then I owe you a drink. In the meantime, I have some stuff I need to get done today. I’ll see you tomorrow, though?”

Smiling big, you nodded, “Yup. I’ll comm you before I come over. It’ll be after work.” You spun on your heal, trying to make a casual, cool exit. You felt Boba grab your wrist. He spun you around and before you knew it, you were in his arms, kissing. He broke the kiss to murmur, “You’re a lot of fun, you know…” Releasing you, he turned on his heel and went into his ship. Flustered, you realized he was the one who had made the cool exit.
***
All morning, you were distracted at work. You thought of comming him, but resisted the urge. Soon, you would have your lunch break, and then it’d be the end of the workday before you knew it.
Finally lunch came around. You leapt out of your seat, relieved to be able to work off some of your pent up nervous energy. You were really looking forward to working on your speeders with Boba.
As you walked through the nearby market to grab lunch, you realized he was across the street. His back was to you. He was speaking with a very attractive woman. She was laughing in that way women do when they like a man.
Feeling possessive, your first instinct was to charge over to see what was happening. But, you thought about it:
