The show features stories on events, pop culture, foods, celebrities, health and trends, as well as urban legends, ghost stories and supposed paranormal activities.

The central topic of the segment is all about invasion of computer addiction among people and how they cope up from the depriving period of their life to start a new better life. There are 2 subjects in the segment were Ms. Jessica Soho, the host interview them to share their experiences towards their journey on computer addiction optimistically and pessimistically as well as to give some information towards prevention and proper management in technology utilization.

The root cause of the incident id due to extreme addiction of the man on playing online games leading to him being irresponsible on fulfilling household tasks. It makes his wife inflamed resulting to extreme rage on him.

After the occurrence of incident, the couple realizes their own mistakes and starts a new life again. They forgive each other towards their past belligerence rehabilitated through the help and support of a registered guidance counselor that gives advice on them towards family relationship management.

Nico Barcelon also known as “Eyyou” is a Filipino professional Dota 2 (a form of Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game) player who last played for “Fnatic” (A league of online gaming players). Eyyou was engaged to various international gaming tournaments since his juvenile years. Eyyou put his full attention being a proficient online gamer despite of various resistance of the people around him. As time goes by, Eyyou improves a lot he invest various technological devices essential to integrate his online gaming skills for the gaming competitions he’s going to compete.

Online gaming supports his essential needs, it rises up his family’s social economic status and give business and employment to him as he receives monetary prizes as well as to get paid while playing online games.

As Ms. Jessica Soho Said, “Anything we do, even the one we thought as beneficial if we over engage it becomes pessimistic. Moderation and discipline must be in our perception. We need to know our limitations towards leisure things and the essential one that should be given priority.”

 PERSONAL EXPERIENCES

During my juvenile years, I am really engage on playing offline and online games usually alone and sometimes together with my few friends and acquaintances. I spend a lot of time to play games making me to neglect my studies during that time resulting to a not so high yet average remarks in my elementary education. Also my mother usually scold me for being addicted in that particular games.

The main reason why I become attached and engaged to this field of virtual interaction of gaming is my being alone and resemblance of being an introvert that time. I rarely interacts towards my peers (only to the one me and my parent really know and familiar to e.g. neighbors, child of my parent’s friend) and the online games becomes my companion in life. It is the one who makes me feel happiness and joyful despite of being unsocial and victim of bullying. Online gaming established a thought in my perception that no one is an island. It is the one stays at my side together with my unknown internet friends that leverage my sense of forlorn.

As time goes by, I become older and mature. I have overcome my introvert and reclusive personality tends me to have more friends. I have moderated my playing time on online games as I really engage this time on my academic enrichment. The one I really regret and repent this present period is the weakening of my eyes having a blurry vision as a consequence for extreme engagement in online gaming during my childhood days.

Now, I really take care of my physical health especially to my vision, making it healthy and fully functioning by engagement to various physical activities and consumption of healthy foods to not make my condition worsen but to normalize it.

 LESSON AND REALIZATIONS TOWARDS THE SEGMENT

This segment of Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho made mme realize that we sould take care of our health physically and mentally especially in the juvenile period of our life to not do something bad that we’re really no longer resolves in its original state in the mere future such as mild/ severe physical malfunction, lack of profound social life experiences, etc.

Aside from that, the subjects experiences on their journey in online gaming to enlightens our perception, to look at our surrounding, and try to listen to the feedbacks and sermon of the people around us. Were the main intent is to save us from technology domination nor makes us a better person. Not wait to something bad/ crucial occurrence happens on us before we listen to them.

In the brighter side, Eyyou made us realize to not easily gives up our dreams in life but to pursue it despite of social despise (considering the one who have a proficient point on refuting us), to put it in our hearts and be sincere on our goals that will serve as a key in order to reach the summit.

 IMPACT OF THE SEGMENT TO MY PERCEPTION AS WELL AS TO OTHER VIEWERS

Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho’s featured segment on the risks and good outcome of online gaming tends me and other millennials to be more aware, to think holistically before engaging to certain action and activities. Now I have a good time management in relation to my daily routines and scheduled essential activities. I give now a space to the particular things I didn’t engage before that tends me to explore in various field that may improves my obtained skills and potentials.

The impact of invasion of extreme online gaming in our society, certain governmental and private institution takes it into prioritization such as the World Health Organization (WHO). They established an intensive study about the particular medication and treatment to online gaming addiction as well as officially enlists it as a form of disorder. In order for certain medical allied institution to take prioritization on this addiction by formulating cure and medications like other existing form of diseases.

My Autobiography

"The root of triumph is astringent but the fruit is luscious” An aphorism that reflect in my humanity.

I am Daniel M. Tiagan, aroused in the “Pearl of the Orient”, city of Manila. I currently faces the fruitful outcomes as well as the trials and shortcomings in the eighteen years of existence at the “Historical Capital and Cradle of Philippine Revolution” in the province of Cavite.

My name bestowed by my mother derived on the bible, prophet Daniel. According to anthropological studies, prophet Daniel is a noble Jewish youth of Jerusalem who have thrown in the tomb of wild lions by Darius the Mede for his never ending faith to god. Through his sovereign loyalty, faith, and faith to him, he exiled safely from the agony of salvation. Like prophet Daniel, I put my self to the lord letting him to set the right for me in order to surpass the trials and obstacles encountered in order to reach the summit.

As a citizen of millennium generation, I’m fun at building up and forging myself as an excellent and tremendous human being. Since my childhood, I fueled up my vocabulary and fluency in our universal language that links every nations. I read and browse to various collection of textbook, periodicals, and academic handouts also I engage in reading fictions and Sci-fi. When I’m bored I tries to answers various language proficiency and grammar mock up test to make me literate to stand out among the rest.

My life is not always cupcakes and rainbow. While discovering myself during my juvenile years, I face the tragic yet depressing point of my life that makes me strong and tough nowadays which is being a victim of bullying. Some of my peers intentionally hurts me physically and emotionally, degrades my entire humanity rooted for my being a silent and alone person. I really hurts a lot, I used this experience as an inspiration to move forwards and build up the best version of myself through the help and heartwarming support of my family and friends.

Junior high school, the turning point of my life when I gracefully embrace and develops my academic aptitude indulge with certain obstacles and hindrances. During my freshman years the General Emilio Aguinaldo National High Schools serves as my second home, the place where I finally found my real best friends and companion in life as well as to exceed my developing skills and potential beyond the limit. I designated and become part of an inferior, yet not so bottom section due to my moderate/ passing remarks in my elementary education. I embrace and put to my hear being part of this section. The long I studies and attach with them, I gradually discover and foresee the development of my academic potential by being a leader who manage mg fellow classmates and engages to various curricular and extra- curricular activities. It gives an opportunity to me to explore certain field of work that I didn’t engage before such as being paet of Science Investigatory Project (SIP), History Club, and being a delegate/ representative in academic competition regionally.

After that, I become one of the students belongs to cream of the top section where competition towards achievement and excellence is really hard. Its like a war were soldier needs to be fully geared in order to not beaten up or defeated. I experience some tantrum, anxiety, and difficulties in adjusting to new path of my life as it is the first time I belong in that particular section of students. I give trust to myself, to my obtained skills, ability and potential.

I lay myself to dedicate in the field of hospitality and culinary enrichment because I am a person who greatly attached into foods especially in sweets I even have a bucket list of the projected sweets and confections to try. I pledge my precious time just to go in various shops and café to have a taste of my cravings. I’m a soldier of kitchen passionate to cook delicate dishes especially to sweets and pastries to serve people especially my loved ones. I feel a sense of relieveness and satisfaction to witness people gracefully admires my edible masterpiece.

Fortunately, I further developed my explored and developed abilities to not being left behind. I have reach their level even I’m new from that intensity of education as well as to maintain it in the whole junior high school academic period.

Currently, I’m at the filial year of being a high school student at Governor Juanito Reyes Remulla Senior High School. An extensive period of education to forge and sharpens myself towards excellent professional in the future align to my chosen future career as pre- requisite for tertiary education. I have applied the knowledge and skills I assimilated in my junior high school journey particularly my culinary and leadership skills. I become a leader of my classmates whose responsible to take care of them by maintaining peace and order. To formulate some innovative programs/ projects that makes us interconnected and collaborated together despite of our different behavior, traits, and ideology influenced by our previous school we came from.

My chosen major skills (Baking, food service, Cooking) being focused and developed. I have engage to various way of baking breads and cakes to make some delicate confections. Also I learned to properly cook and prepare certain mouthwatering dishes that are really worth for the appetite of the people I intend to serve food as well as the proper etiquette and procedure of food service resembling to a high class culinary/ hospitality institutions.

In the nick of time, I envisioned myself as a successful patisserie who owns a café, delicate to serve and satisfied customer’s cravings. I want to promote in every nations the native sweets and delicacies in the land of my arousal in order for our nation to be known across the globe as well as to revive our country’s poor economic status. If I have given an opportunity, I want also to see myself sailing above the cruise ship soaring high to serve prestigious personalities an exceptional and aperitif dishes.

"Ang Pipit"

Ang Pipit (The Pipit) is a popular Filipino song about a bird that is known in the Philippines as a Pipit. Many Filipinos don’t realize that is an English word too, so they force-translate the song’s title as My Sparrow. The pipit is a bird in the family Motacillidae.

In this song, a bird has her wing injured by a rock thrown by a man. The bird was so hurt she couldn’t fly. Like a person, she spoke up, “Oh, cruel man. How pitiless your heart is. If I die, there is a pipit bird who will cry.”

I want to encourage all of you to witness and harmonize the masterpiece of our very own “National Artist of the Philippines for Music and Arts” Levi Celerio. The pride of Filipino talents.
