i know aelin being captured by maeve is going to be a big plot point in kingdom of ash but i hope she gets rescued at least within the first quarter/half of the book because A) i don’t want her to suffer for that long and B) she still needs to defeat erawan and everything AND i need all the reunions with like galan and ilias and yrene and i need to see her and her whole court and everything together a bunch. anyways, this book is turning me into a ball of anxiety

Don’t tell me this isn’t the most heartbreaking passage in all of Empire of Storms. 

I just re-read this shit and LOST it. Here Elena is, telling Aelin that she’s going to need to sacrifice her LIFE in order to end everything, and then she’s also like “btw, I sent you to go find your mate because I wanted you to know joy also.” and ps he’s been waiting his entire existence for you and now I’m going to take it all away. like. THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT ELENA AND YOU HAD NO RIGHT (but also thank you very much). *end rant*
