The boys are currently huddled together outside of the practice room whilst Siwan is inside.

JIN: “Did you light the candles? Light the candles quickly!”

JIN: *tsking* “Ah, you guys are so unorganised.”

V: *excited + shoving jm* “Go get the lighter!” *x2*

SUGA: “Where’s Namjoon?”

J-HOPE: “Yah, do you think we should’ve done something more? What if this is underwhelming for him?” *whispering amongst the others*

JUNGKOOK: “I bought him a gift.” *quietly speaking + holding his gift to his chest*

SUGA: “Trust me, he’ll appreciate it. Focus on not dropping the cake instead.” *warning tae who is grinning like a maniac*

JIMIN: *arriving with the lighter + lighting the candles* “Here’s one. Here’s two.” *another member who is excited* “Army, you know, I decorated this cake myself.”

V: “Yah! I did too! Stop taking all the credit.”

RM: “You guys are so loud.” *finally arriving on scene with the second cake* “Is Wanie practicing inside?”

SUGA: “When is he not? You gotta drag him by his ankles if you wanna see him anywhere else.” *speaking facts tbf*

J-HOPE: “Wait, we’re having a second cake? What’s this cake for?” *eyeing up the one nj’s holding*

JIN: “You guys didn’t even tell him?” *about to lose it* “For the best trainee achievement. He got ranked first for best trainee.”

JIMIN: “Everyone is talking about him. He’s our ace already.” *proud of his hyung*

V: “Our hyung’s so talented. The ace of Bangtan!”

SUGA: “Save the compliments for when you’re actually in front of him.” *yg being the most talkative he’s ever been bc he wants this to go well*

RM: “Okay, we’ll go in on the count of three, alright?” *trying to get everybody on the same page*

JIN: “Jeongguk-ah, you go in front. He thinks you’re cute.” *quickly moving the lil maknae ahead of everyone*

RM: “Okay, now on the count of three. Three, two, one!”

Jeongguk pushes the door to the practice room open as the rest of the members yell “Surprise!” and enter.

It’s a little chaotic as they start to sing “Happy Birthday”, the members begin circling an off guard Siwan who is soaked to the bone with sweat from practice, completely unaware of what’s going on.

V: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR HYUNG! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!” *literally yelling rn lmao*

JIMIN: “CONGRATS ON GETTING BEST TRAINEE! WE’RE PROUD OF YOU!” *yelling pt.2*

S!NEA: *honestly still doesn’t know what’s going on* “What? Seok-ah, I thought you were going to go get fried chicken.”

JIN: “It was part of the plan. It’s your birthday. Did you forget?” *grabbing the knife for the cake + handing it to siwan*

RM: “We’re like brothers now. We have to celebrate these things together. It’s your birthday!” *also showing the trainee cake*

SUGA: “You got ranked best trainee recently too. We wanted to celebrate the achievement with you.” *resting a hand on siwan’s shoulder*

S!NEA: *lowkey feeling overwhelmed rn* “What? No… You don’t- you didn’t have to do that.”

RM: “Well, before you say that,” *motions for hoseok to push jk forward*

JUNGKOOK: *king of being shy* “I-I got you this, hyung. I thought I’d get you a gift for your birthday. And your achievement as best trainee.” *holding out the box* “Please accept it.”

S!NEA: *can’t say no to the lil bunny* “Ah… you guys seriously didn’t need to do this.” *tearing up as he accepts jk’s gift*

JUNGKOOK: “Don’t open it now! Do it when you’re alone.” *panicking*

S!NEA: *sniffling + pulling jk into a hug* “Okay, okay. Thanks, Gukkie.”

J-HOPE: “Ah, are you crying? Don’t cry!” *pushing past everyone to wipe siwan’s tears*

JIMIN: “Hyung is crying? Move!” *pushing hoseok aside to grab siwan’s cheeks* “Don’t cry. You’re supposed to be happy! This is a happy moment.” *caressing his cheeks + the tear tracks that weld up*

S!NEA: “I’m happy.” *still lowkey crying* “These are- they’re happy tears.” *laughing*

SUGA: “You’re gonna make our maknae cry too. Stop it.” *whining bc otherwise he’ll also get emo*

JUNGKOOK: *pouting bc it isn’t exactly untrue + begins tearing up a few seconds later*

V: “YAH! Why are you all crying? This isn’t a funeral! Stop it!” *bringing the cake over to siwan*

RM: *pulling jk to his side + rubbing his arm* “Okay, okay. Why don’t we cut the cake? Let’s all have a slice. I’m starving.”

S!NEA: *agreeing* “Sorry. I-I just didn’t expect all of this.”

The members begin to sing “Happy Birthday” again as Siwan finally cuts the cake. Namjoon then proceeds to bring the trainee cake which Siwan also slices into.

JIN: “Here, feed the maknae first. He’s probably drained from crying.”

The members all laugh together as Siwan feeds everyone a piece of the cake before the video ends with Jimin and Taehyung rubbing icing all over Siwan’s face.

intro : hello losers i’m back after a year long hiatus 💀 i’ve been catching up on content recently and have been bombarded with so many jiwan moments that i finally decided it was time to make this compilation

intro : jiwan are literally my roman empire so without further ado let’s get into the video!

clip one : run bts ep.71 (behind)

*cue siwan entering to save the day* “everything okay?” *always the heavily concerned hyung as he takes a seat next to jm* *now cue jm pretending to be fine*

*mindreader sw knows what’s up* “you want to eat the pork belly?” *he can see the way jm’s mouth is frothing tbh* “why don’t you just eat it then?”

*jm shaking his head* “i have to maintain my diet” *sw literally spacing out for a moment before turning to the cameraman*

commentary : so for context jimin needed a temporary arm sling due to sustaining an injury during practice. some of the members were eating in another room

*staff letting the few members present know about jimin’s injury* *cue sw’s face immediately changing from laidback to sitting upright*

“is he all right? is jimin okay?” *hobi also concerned as jm walks into the room* *sw struggling to conceal his emotions*

“can you not move it at all? does it hurt a lot?” *jm is explaining the situation but sw still feels anxious and worried*

“jimin-ah, come sit here” *sw already making space + standing up to help jm* *jm can’t help but smile bc sw always gets like this over minor issues* “you’re cute”

*moody sw who scolds jm for getting hurt but coddling him to death*

commentary : no because tell me why this man is so precious HE LOOKED LIKE HE WAS GONNA CRY OVER JIMIN’S INJURY. protect this man at all costs.

*baby jm who seems to be having too much fun in the pool and doesn’t wanna get out* *swimming cutely rn*

“ah, get out already! we need to film” “this guy, seriously…” *older hyungs are complaining*

“look at this!” *jm continues to swim cutely like a puppy* *nj is so done even tho he finds it cute too*

“wanie, get him out” *literally the only man for the job* *sw decides to enter the pool to collect jm but jm sees it coming*

*quickly attempting to neutralise the threat by splashing water on sw* *sw wiping the water from his face before dipping beneath the water fully*

*jm is startled when sw comes up from underneath him* *jm is now sat upon sw’s shoulders in the pool*

commentary : one thing both jimin and i have in common is our love for siwan’s strength because he did not need to do all that and yet here we are

*jm is tired from a long day of shooting* *still not time to go home yet*

“we might have to film yoongi’s again. i wanna try it with a different angle” *lots of retakes bc bangtan are perfectionists* *jm is honestly half asleep in his pjs*

*director sw is not too bothered as he gives jin a thumbs up + easily guides jm to settle his head against sw’s shoulder*

*moments later and sw has requested for a blanket for jm too after quieting everyone else down* “i think we should stop it here for now” *totally not bc jm is asleep or anything*

commentary : they are honestly so kdrama boyfriends coded it’s not even funny y’all

clip seven : jimin’s cheeks

*jm gauging his face as the cameraman records him* *hands on cheeks* “are they red? can you see it?” *feeling shy rn*

*trying to get another look but quickly covers his cheeks again* “ah, is it really bad?” *cue jm going on a manhunt to ask another member’s opinion*

*ends up locating sw by the food table filling his plate* *walking up to him + tugging the bottom of his sweater*

*sw mid-snack as he turns to look at jm and sees the camera* *full cheeks laughing shyly before turning his attention back to jm after he’s done eating* “mm?”

“do my cheeks look red?” *asking with a pout* *sw instinctively lifts his hand to cup jm’s cheek + caresses it with the pad of his thumb* “a little. why, did you drink?”

*entranced jm cosying up to sw’s affection immediately lol* “i think it might’ve been the noodles. does it look bad?” “it’s cute. you always look cute.” *continues to caress jm’s cheek*

“YAH STOP FLIRTING!” *hobi in the bg*

commentary : WHAT WAS THE REASON?? WHAT WAS THE REASON??? hobi is all of us actually

clip eight : jimin’s cheeks pt.2 (because siwan is obsessed with them)

*in the midst of an interview* “siwan-ssi, what about you? we’ve heard you have a very close bond with jimin-ssi. can you tell us what you like about him?”

*shy sw hour as he smiles + avoids eye contact* *cheeky jm can’t wait to hear his answer* “hyung-nim loves all of me right~?” *biggest tease on the planet*

*other members are also enjoying this way too much* “they’re always together.” “yah, he’s blushing. look at him.”

*sw waving them off + trying to collect himself* “no, no. ah,” *looking over at jm for a moment* *finding it difficult to maintain eye contact but he’s smiling bashfully* “i think… i like his cheeks. they’re chubby and squishable so i like to play with them.”

*an innocent comment is quickly taken out of context* “WHAT?!” “siwan-ssi, you play with jimin’s cheeks?” *nj being dirty minded* *sw quick to defend himself and waving frantically* “no! no, i meant i like to- ah, forget it. you guys need to get yourselves checked.” *tsking*

*jm is honestly living for this tbh* *interviewer is clearly a big jiwan fan as he asks his next question after everyone has calmed down* “would you be able to give jimin-ssi a kiss on the cheek for fans?”

*cue a ‘disgruntled’ sw placing a kiss on jm’s cheek + jm’s hand instinctively reaching up to touch the area he was kissed with a giggly blush*

commentary : i would actually kill for fetus jiwan because just look at how pure they are here. siwan was so shy :(( i love them so much my lil beans

conclusion : guys i could seriously go on forever with the amount of jiwan content there is out there but i needed to end the video at some point <\3 i hope everyone enjoyed jiwan’s cute little moments as much as i did and i will see you guys in the next one, bye bye !!

IU & S!NEA ───── “ she hates it when i call her that. my noona sunbae. ”

they first got to know each other on the set of hotel del luna in which siwan was scheduled to make a cameo appearance in one of the episodes.

jieun quickly grew fond of siwan’s shy and polite nature. their second meeting was during a team dinner that she invited him to where they would exchange numbers.

siwan has always been openly supportive of jieun’s works since then and everyone adores their friendship. there are compilations of tiny crumb interactions between them, for example if jieun wins an award, then siwan is the first one clapping and cheering.

they’ve had many dating rumours spark every time they hang out privately so they stick to meeting up with others present or not at all sometimes.

she was there to say goodbye to siwan on the day of his military enlistment. she even stated that he could always call her up if he needed anything or someone to simply talk to.

DK & S!NEA ───── “ my brother not by blood, but he’s always been my backbone. ”

they met for the first time at an award show. at the time, seokmin greatly admired siwan but found him incredibly intimidating to actually greet and start a conversation with.

they got talking because siwan noticed one of the female idols towards the back feeling uncomfortable and so he asked for a blanket. he then requested seokmin to hand it to her since he was closer which is when seokmin gained the courage to start a conversation.

their friendship easily developed outside of this into a very sibling-like dynamic. he would always be the one to initiate outings and meet-ups to which siwan just went along with.

literally everyone knows about their friendship. seokmin is always able to bring siwan up somehow in every content to do with seventeen to a point that the other members call him the 9th member of bts.

honestly? an amazing wingman. 100/10. if siwan ever shows an interest in someone, seokmin is immediately there to encourage and hype him up to potential suitors. he’ll even set up the dates himself if he needs to. everyone needs a seokmin in their life.

MINHO & S!NEA ───── “ yeah, i bow down to this sunbae, paying homage with my reverence. ”

minho has always been a role model to siwan. he was one of the growing factors in siwan’s life that solidified his stance on becoming an idol within the entertainment industry.

he’d seen minho at award shows but was never able to pluck up the courage to actually start a conversation. he only ended up talking to minho through taehyung during his visit on the set of hwarang.

minho is like siwan’s dad/mentor but also an absolutely bad influence. he’s the little devil on siwan’s shoulder that makes him do things on an impulse (such as dying his hair or getting a perm).

minho is also lowkey a sugar daddy. he’ll just buy things for siwan on a whim especially if they haven’t seen each other in a while, but he’ll go out of his way to buy siwan anything he’s overheard the younger one comment about wanting.

he’s also the person siwan tends to go to when there are actual problems in his life. minho is a great listening ear and tends to have a very mature and unbiased view towards situations so he’s super grateful to have this man in his life.

MARK & S!NEA ───── “ no… mark is not my son. ”

mark has basically glued himself to siwan’s side ever since their first meeting through jeongguk and jaehyun. he’s the little brother figure that siwan never had.

mark loves loves loves piggybacks from siwan. he’s also been a major influence in helping siwan rekindle with family by accompanying him on visits and dinners back home and comforting him immensely.

mark is the reason siwan has stepped out of his comfort zone a lot of the time. mark’s the one to initiate hangouts and book crazy activities for them to try out.

siwan will never tolerate mark being badmouthed by anyone around him. he’s very overprotective and loves to praise and uplift mark’s positive influence in his life. if you’re a fan of siwan, you’re a fan of mark.

they sort of have this telepathic connection where one will get this weird feeling whenever the other is upset. it’s been one too many times where siwan will text mark to ask if he’s doing well and mark replies with a negative.

SINJIN ───── “ trust me. i know this guy. now, open your mouth. ”

siwan is a great admirer of his jin hyung. it’s common to see clips of siwan smiling fondly as jin goofs around or makes one of his dad jokes.

most of jin’s “hyung will do it” moments are reserved specifically for siwan because he knows siwan tends to overcompensate for his imperfections.

their dynamic is very diverse. they can go from protective siblings of each other to caring dads for the rest of the group.

siwan is jin’s favourite member because he always goes along with whatever comes out of jin’s mouth. if jin is trying to look good for the camera, he’s there as his hyung’s ’yes man’.

siwan is also jin’s favourite member to have as a guest on his eat jin lives. he knows siwan isn’t an actively social person so he invites him on these lives where siwan even feeds him the food.

siwan goes out of his way to guide jin during dance practices due to jin’s insecurities around it. he will take time out of his day even if jin doesn’t ask him for assistance with additional practice during their breaks and always hypes him up.

because he’s the tallest member in the group, jin tends to gravitate towards siwan whenever he feels shy (especially over siwan’s compliments) and hides his face in the younger’s chest.

SINSU ───── “ hyung, you need to absorb more natural sunlight. ”

they’re the duo that have technically known each other the longest due to being pen pals since middle school. they only stopped writing to each other after meeting in person.

yoongi adores siwan. he turns completely red whenever the other members get them to hold hands or partake in skinship.

surprisingly, it’s siwan that brings yoongi out of his shell during group activities. they have similar personalities so siwan takes the initiative in familiar settings.

yoongi has still helped siwan discover many things in more unfamiliar settings however. this includes an irish bomb, how to lie efficiently, and the best sleeping position to ensure quality sleep in a congested camping van.

yoongi basically has siwan on speed dial when it comes to music. be it just talking about music in general (which they can stay up discussing for hours) or if he needs siwan to sing a demo for one of their songs.

they are probably not the best duo for task oriented lives (unless accompanied by a more outspoken member) as they prefer mutual silence when working.

this is bangtan’s favourite ship because nobody gets yoongi all shy and embarrassed over the littlest things like siwan does.

SINHOPE ───── “ sin? hope? sinhope! sinhope! chiiiwanahhh! ”

hoseok loves loves loves this guy. he is one of the only members to be able to properly rizz up siwan instead of the other way around.

siwan is also hoseok’s human shield for whenever he’s scared. it’s a natural and instinctive response for him to immediately hide behind siwan if anything scares him.

they’re one of the closest duos for many reasons. hoseok is always able to reciprocate siwan’s energy, whether he’s mellow, serious or excited. they’re often on the same wavelength.

siwan is the best at being able to calm hoseok’s excited yelling or screams.

and hoseok is the one to get siwan to open up more with skinship. this is to the point that sometimes siwan will initiate contact himself with hoseok.

at performances, siwan feels most secure standing next to hoseok. they’re one of those duos that present spellbinding duets that leave the crowd going wild.

siwan loves hoseok’s laugh because it’s contagious. even when he’s not sure why he’s laughing, he smiles alongside hoseok’s happiness.

JOONWAN ───── “ namie, you’re turning twenty-four soon. ”

siwan honestly had a love/hate relationship with namjoon in the beginning stages of their friendship. siwan has always been a clean freak but namjoon was, well, the complete opposite.

this means a lot of namjoon’s essential life skills developed through observing siwan around the dorms over the years. he learnt how to cook, clean and lock the bathroom door when taking a shit because siwan hated walking in on him.

still, siwan fell in love with namjoon’s lyricism. so much so that namjoon would even write songs within their albums dedicated specifically to siwan.

keep them as far away from each other as possible during comeback season though! they are literal disasters waiting to happen and will blurt out spoilers they aren’t meant to.

namjoon is the member ranked best at being able to calm siwan during moments of disrespect thrown at the group or other members. siwan’s mouth is a loose canon for clap backs if someone gets too mouthy with the boys.

they love to give each other subtle (but not so subtle) incredulous looks during interviews when the members want the most outrageous things translated.

to siwan namjoon is his ‘namie’. it’s a nickname siwan owns the exclusive rights to and namjoon knows who’s calling for his attention when it’s used.

JIWAN ───── “ it’s like a little goblin always creeping behind my back. ”

during jimin’s extreme diet days, siwan had always been the one to encourage him to eat more. siwan would add his own portions of food on jimin’s plate and help with his self esteem.

jimin’s parents have basically adopted siwan. he gets to call jimin’s parents “mom” and “dad” and has visited the park household more times than he’s probably visited his own home.

they’re attached by the hip. or, well, jimin is. he just needs to drag siwan everywhere so they’re the most likely targets to be caught hanging out outside of their schedules.

dance dance dance! they’re known for uploading dance covers together that can go from sentimental to sexy to scandalous. the company hates them for it.

both of them have each other’s songs tattooed on their body. jimin has romantic homicide tattooed on his pelvis and siwan has a serendipity tattoo on the side of his neck.

jimin has developed a secret language with siwan over the years. it consists of many inside jokes and sweet promises such as ‘the jisi pinky’ which is a sacred oath amongst them.

they’re like a married couple sometimes. every time before a stage, siwan will ask jimin how he’s feeling and jimin will ask siwan if he’s feeling nervous. they always comfort each other backstage.

SINV ───── “ how can he see through those bangs? are they a fashion statement or what? ”

taehyung is an absolute brat who is very aware of siwan’s fondness towards him. he uses his charm to get out of trouble with siwan (and it works every time).

he’s also a cuddle bug and finds most of his comfort in siwan’s arms. you will see tae snuggled up against the older in most bts content especially when he’s tired.

they also have a very interesting story time/situation together that’s listed under bangtan’s list of mysteries that army are dying to know about. siwan’s only ever hinted at it and it always gets taehyung rowdy in order to try and cut him off.

taehyung is very smitten of siwan’s compliments. whenever he does a painting or something he’s proud of, he’ll waddle over to siwan to let him know, and when siwan compliments him his big boxy smile comes out.

he also has this sort of tendency to just lean his head towards siwan as an indication that he wants a pat on the head or his hair ruffled in a ‘well done’ manner.

during their time sharing a room in the dorms, taehyung’s bed had rarely been slept in as he opted to use siwan as his personal teddy bear. taehyung oftentimes ended up sleeping with siwan.

he is the number one invader of siwan’s solo lives. be it in person or through the phone, taehyung loves to show army just how loved he is by the man.

SINKOOK ───── “ jeongguk-ah, you’re doing so well, bub. let’s go to the very end together. ”

right off the bat, jeongguk’s pains are siwan’s pains. he physically cannot see the boy upset and is the first to rush to the maknae’s side in order to comfort him.

which leads to when jeongguk was the most emotional member when siwan was close to leaving the group. he cried so much as he requested his hyung to stay and it broke siwan’s heart to see him like that. jeongguk looks up to siwan.

whenever one of the other members are teasing him, jeongguk likes to go whine to siwan about it because he is on their case immediately lmao. nobody gets away with making fun of jeongguk on siwan’s watch.

siwan is basically jeongguk’s sugar daddy. he thinks jeongguk works tremendously hard so he always takes the younger out to restaurants as a treat or buys him something he’s been wanting for a while.

jeongguk also works very hard on his english so whenever he’s struggling or confused over something, he’ll ask siwan about it. siwan has tutored him on his english before.

jeongguk has a one sided competitiveness against siwan because siwan is good at everything and it always leaves him in awe. in run bts episodes, jeongguk tries his best to win against the older but siwan lets him win on purpose.

────────── HIS CHILDHOOD.

kim siwan was born to parents kim jaewon and park nari in jeju island , south korea.

during the korean tradition of doljabi during siwan’s first birthday , it is said that he picked money from the selection of objects set out in front of him. he was destined to be wealthy.

his parents had his sister when he was five years old. he was a great older brother and would always try to protect her.

his family has always been very well off which attracted a lot of attention his way in terms of leaching friends. siwan tends to be reserved for this reason.

his parents were constantly busy with work when he was younger so he and his sister oftentimes stayed with their grandparents. they were an equal balance of tough love and sweet.

siwan grew up on strict rules and principles. he rarely ever got to indulge in his hobbies and was pushed to study hard in school.

his grandfather was a very traditional man and the owner of a well established dojo where siwan started training since the age of six.

he won many school competitions and always came out on top with his grades. he was a model student.

in his spare time , he would sing in the empty classrooms at school where his choir teacher had caught him and asked him to join the choir club.

his family weren’t impressed , but his father had reached out a hand to help him fly. he invited siwan to be the lead singer in his band for one of their more laidback performances which is how he got recruited by so many agencies.

────────── PRE-DEBUT.

his mother’s vision was for him to take over the family resort when he was old enough so she was adamant about him staying away from these agencies.

his father , on the other hand , was thrilled by these offers for his son and was the one to help him decide who to go with.

during this point in time , siwan started to take leaps for himself instead of his family. he knew he wanted to be a singer , meaning he had to start breaking some rules.

his relationship with his mother suffered greatly. they weren’t on talking terms when he left to join jyp.

he often talked about his problems with family to min yoongi who had become his pen pal from a school in daegu. they could relate to each other a lot in that regard.

he had also found out through yoongi about bighit. at jyp , he hadn’t really been able to make many friends so he thought he would follow in the older’s footsteps and join him at bighit.

siwan’s interests in hip hop and rap took place due to yoongi’s recommendations in their exchanged letters , but it only grew upon meeting namjoon.

it was like fate’s ugly joke then , when he had found out his mother had a heart attack because of stress. he was close to leaving the company because of his guilt.

his grandmother had told him to leave it up to her and continue his training. his members were a grounding presence during this time , although he pushed himself to the brink during practice as punishment.

just as he is set to debut , he then finds out his parents are planning to divorce.

────────── DEBUT & BEYOND.

he finds out his parents have been having many disagreements over raising him , leading to more guilt racking up.

his management had advised him to go no contact for a bit , at least until he had actually debuted , because his parents seemed to be actively jeopardising his career.

he had started smoking at a young age due to all of the stress. the day of their debut wasn’t as joyous for siwan as he had hoped.

and things only seemed to get worse for a while. it was as if bangtan was stagnant and nobody truly cared about what they had to offer. they were belittled and ignored by the majority.

his sister had developed many mental health problems at this stage too , leading her to die by suicide due to all of the constant fighting she was surrounded by. it took siwan a long time to accept her death.

things began to get better during their love yourself era. it holds a special place in siwan’s heart and had been the group’s kickstart into international stardom.

he still struggles with the newfound attention , unable to hold his tongue against sasaengs and rude fans that are always invading their space. he has many compilations of snapping at such individuals online.

chapter two was also a strange experience. of course he liked to spend time by himself , but promoting solo work before their impending enlistment was hard. he’s been a big advocate of bangtan’s return in 2O25.

he was one of the last members to enlist alongside namjoon , jimin , taehyung , and jeongguk. he won the buddy lottery with taehyung and has stuck by his side during duty thus far.
