So kwamis can affect holders right? I imagine that depending on the holder the effect would defer, based on the holder's personality and the desire they share. Like Adrien puns already without Plagg so turning into Chat Noir "intensifies" the puns corresponding to Plaggs humorous side etc.

Marinette isn't that big of fan of puns as Adrien is, but she and Plagg shares a common hatred towards Gaberial and a common liking of Adrien, so using the cat miraculous amplifies those feeling. Meanwhile Mister Bug just really craves for Dupain-Cheng pastries.

adrienette keeping their secret identities from their kids is underrated. not only do i think it's more practical/safe (when i was a kid i told all my friends ALL of my parents' dirty secrets because i was very trusting of my friends and also had no solid concept of consequence) but also i think it's more fun to keep the identity shenanigans going. their kids thinking their parents are lame, meanwhile thinking ladybug and chat noir are sooooo cool.

like dad you're soooo lame, stop wanting to play board games with us while we're trying to watch the newest Ladybug and Chat Noir movie. god mom is always so busy and anxious, she's nothing like carefree confident ladybug. my brother dressed up as chat noir for halloween and for some reason it made my dad cry. i told my parents i thought Chat Noir and Rena Rouge had the most chemistry in the movies and they stared blankly at me. i snuck out at night to go to a friend's place and ladybug intercepted me on the street and was super freaked out about it for some reason. some kids at school found out i'm hawkmoth's grandkid and are being mean to me and told me ladybug and chat noir would hate me and it made me cry. mom says ladybug and chat noir LOVE ME SO MUCH but that seems like a stretch?? the other night i heard SOMETHING eating VORACIOUSLY in our cheese cabinet and when i ran to my parents' room to tell them about it they AVIDLY denied it and THEN claimed it was a mouse but how the fuck did a mouse get up there??? why are they so shifty???? and WHO keeps eating my COOKIES

Writing Prompt: Power Swap Fiasco

An Akuma with the power to switch Miraculous repeatedly between active holders caused the wildest, most insane battle since Catalyst's debut. Ladybug found no alternative but to put every Miraculous in the box into play, so that the odds of her foe receiving the Ladybug or the Cat was much lower... which was exactly what the villain had in mind, assuming that multiple targets holding Miraculous they weren't familiar with would make them much easier to defeat and to add to her collection!

At an interlude, the heroes gathered to take inventory.

"We think that she has three right now," the current Rooster counted. "The Ladybug is unaccounted for, I'm afraid. As is the Pig."

"Not good. Not good," fretted Marinette, in a Goat costume at that moment. "Even if we defeat the Akuma, we can't purify it. At least tell me that..."

"The Cat is still ours," a calico-clad heroine confirmed. "And we're hoping that on the next switch, we'll get the Ladybug back."

"I hope she's greedy enough to use it, yeah. If she sets it aside, I don't know if it'll get caught up in the switch effect," grumbled Marinette. "What other one is missing?"

"The Peacock."

A chill filled the room. "What?" asked the Rooster. "We lost the Peacock, but we got the Moth! That's way more powerful. Most sentimonsters aren't all that dangerous, right? So it's not a major threat..."

"Unless you happen to be a sentiBEING," an angry Fox corrected him, out of reflex. "Then you could get switched off, just like THAT!"

"Okay... but that doesn't affect any of us, right?"

As Marinette looked around the room, she saw three others sweating bullets...

I should be sleeping but I just figured out how they could have drastically improved the ending of season 5 with very little effort: What if the fight between Bug Noir and Hawkmoth had not taken place in the kitchen, but in Adrien's room?

Even assuming that the rest of the script stays the same, it would have given so many opportunities. Being in Adrien's space, but without him, would give all sorts of thematic implications and make us feel like his absence was a deliberate narrative choice. Destroying it over the course of their fight would be symbolically destroying his prison, and also showing how Gabriel destroys him, at the same time (bonus points for destroying the prison-bar-like windows).

Plus, you could have done so much with the lighting. The Kitchen fight just doesn't look all that good with its black and white tiles and bright white light. This is especially notable because the episode before, with the theatre production, was the prettiest ML episode ever thanks to all the creative lighting.

In Adrien's room, you have more light and shadow and colors anyway, but you could have really played with bathing the scene in an evening glow, in a thunderstorm, or turning it to night slowly. All the people fighting outside could also have seen the light effects coming from there, making the fight in the house much more connected to the outside.

I'm not saying that would have fixed all the issues I had with the finale, let alone all the issues people have had with the finale, but I think it would have been a much stronger move.
