Since I remembered Ruan Mei's existence after her banner I chose another given name for the scribe, so Mao Mei -> Mao Qian. It's inspired on historical figure Sima Qian, who among other things was a historian

The world NPCs have a much stronger and eccentric character voice in their spanish translations, even without voicelines, than in english. I found out that so many of the weirdos I love sound bland otherwise.

You guys might be missing out.

#i've thought about it a lot #and then it hit me how written dialogue expresses a character #believe me when i tell you so many of them sound really loud without voicelines #i think it might have also happened in hsr #if it's an exclusive feature of the spanish language i don't know #but regional accents are easier to write about in english #so it may be a case of “you win some you lose some” #the npcs i liked the most are already huge eccentrics even in english and they stand out #but even the quiet stoic or shy ones make their presence loudly known in spanish even when they aren't screaming #that's all for today #genshin impact
