I visit a local gender clinic every now and then due to my detransition. Today the doctor asked me why am I dressed like this if I want to be understood as a woman.

I was wearing combat boots. (They are very practical from September to June.)

I was wearing cargo pants. (My last pair lasted several years in daily use.)

I was wearing a plaid shirt. (It cost 3€ at flea market.)

I had a buzz cut. (My hair care routine takes less than five minutes every two weeks.)

Which of these things contradicts my womanhood? How much discomfort and impracticality should I endure to look like a "woman"?

Something that honestly scares me is this maniacle belief that no one is allowed to have any joy or enjoy anything because bad things are happening in Gaza. Like people will disrupt anything fun or happy to make sure everyone is aware what's going on.

I've never seen suffering appropriation like this before. Not while Azerbaijan cleansed it's entire 400,000 person ethnic Armenian population, not while China enslaved and is still enslaving Uyghurs, not while there are genocides in Sudan, and Myanmar, and the ongoing hutu-tutsi fighting on the Rwanda/DRC boarder.

Literally every person knows what's happening in the middle east. It's been plastered on every screen for months. The idea that no one is allowed any joy because of that is baffling and counterproductive in so many ways

#also that everyone has to be talking about it all the time #uneducated people talking about stuff is exactly how missinformation spreads

When a ceremonial monarch who largely didn't do anything died, tumblr cheered about it because she symbolised colonialism and imperialism. Not because of anything she personally did, but because of her *symbolism*.

When someone dies who personally presided over mass executions of political dissidents, oversaw as a political leader massive repression of women, religious minorities and ethnic minorities and helped organise genocide and civil war throughout the Middle East, only Iranian and Jewish tumblrs are saying anything.
