I wish I could find my other post about it, but white people, rich people, on and on, need to sit in their feelings of guilt more often. Seeing poor people of color beg for help makes you feel Nasty? Good. Do something about it. Pay them, help them. Seeing posts about Palestine and Congo and Sudan make you feel guilty? Good! Do something about it! Donate to an evacuation fund, buy an e-sim, do something real and concrete. Use your guilt and shame and do something positive with it instead of making posts shaming the poorest and most desperate of us for not pleading for help nice enough.

so basically, a lotta ppl online like to posture. they want to be badass, cool, the edgy kid - they call themselves things like "freak" or "fagdyke gendertrash scum" etc. and thats fine on its own, im not opposed to edge. BUT. theres a lot of ppl online who want to talk that talk but not walk that walk, and when a trans woman online does something that wouldnt fly in a conservative midwestern town in the USA, they wanna throw her under the bus as fast as they can. because her walking the walk does actually scare them, because theyre just posturing. theyre something worse than edgy: theyre Posers.

At the same time can yall not denigrate younger moms when you talk. I see your posts about how milfs aren't just women with big breasts, or a woman with cats etc. but can yall also not be shitting on younger parents. "come talk to me when they're over 40" "you're not a milf you're 28" Like do you guys hear yourselves. Sometimes people have kids in their 20s LOL? A MILF is literally "mother I'd love to fuck" there isn't an age to become a milf. The 19 year old guy who fucks 24-25 yo single moms and babysits every so often is more of a MILF lover than you guys one-sided pining for your 44 year old divorced coworker but not even getting her flowers for Mother's Day

there is something horrifically grim to it, but illustrations for gaza and palestinians tend to catch more mass attention that actual photos of people. this made me feel incredibly helpless for a long while, seeing both how people would rather look at a neat drawing of red black green and white than look a human in the eyes, and how online platforms would rather push a viral drawing while suppressing those begging for help at the same time.

a way to cope with this feeling has been taking advantage of it to directly guide people to helping palestinians.

if art gets better traction, then there’s an incredible amount of good that can be done by creating art that immediately links to fundraisers. creating art of the many images of those who are asking for help.

within hours of posting my drawing, there has been jumps in the thousands for bashar from gaza’s fundraiser. it’s a small effort in the grand scheme of things. it’s not a fix it. but it’s something good. please take care of each other and do what you can. i think this could help a lot of people if a lot of people did it.
