“Is your girlfriend—oh. Cat.” That’s marginally less disappointing, but now he’s wondering how someone could talk so romantically about a pet. Maybe the cat is is only friend? How very sad. Then again, it’s pretty easy to let his imagination run wild. (Most angels have a good imagination, Carina thinks so anyways.)
“I...hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unless your phone uses satellite your reception is just...not going to be all that great here.” Carina lives in the middle of nowhere for a good reason. (Carina’s own phone is boosted via magick, though his contacts are all ethereal.)
