As a wheelchair user I'm trying to reframe my language for "being in the way."

"I'm in the way," "I can't fit," and "I can't go there," is becoming "there's not enough space," "the walkway is too narrow," and "that place isn't accessible."

It's a small change, but to me it feels as if I'm redirecting blame from myself to the people that made these places inaccessible in the first place. I don't want people to just think that they're helping me, I want them to think that they're making up for someone else's wrongdoing. I want them to remember every time I've needed help as something someone else caused.

God I hate that I have to make ANOTHER post about this. But hi, the only food I've had for the past several days is soup, ramen, and saltless saltines. I have no money, I'm being dicked around with by my uncles life insurance and the provincial government, and I'd really like to actually eat something besides, basically, just liquids.

I also have like. Maybe a week of sleep aid shit left and can't afford to get more so I also have to somehow get that.

Hoping for some help, ideally... Like. 150 CAD or smth? Enough to get my meds and some food until my dad gets paid and we can buy groceries.

In a video posted to social media, Stiles said that if Ontario Premier Doug Ford did not push to overturn a ban on the Arab headdress, she and her entire caucus would defy the rules. Speaker Ted Arnott banned the keffiyeh, a black and white checkered scarf typically worn in Arab cultures and often used to symbolize solidarity with Palestinians, this spring. Arnott decided it was a “political statement” and therefore violated the strict rules that stop MPPs from using props or clothing to send a message while sitting inside the house.

gotta be honest, this idea that polyam ppl never feel jealousy has been really toxic to me. in my case, I was feeling like my partner was spending more time with her other partner, but I couldn't actually talk to her about it because that would be trying to exert unfair/abusive control about how she wants to spend HER time and how dare I even think of doing such a thing. turns out that my perception was right, and my partner was aware of the issue but she was unable to address it for various reasons outside of our control. but I spent months mentally beating myself up about it and just hiding my emotions because I thought even revealing them would prove I'm unworthy of love in the first place. hell, I thought I couldn't even talk to my polyam friends about it because I thought they would immediately shun me. turns out? this is totally normal and I really should've just talked to my partner a long time ago, rather than letting strangers online make me feel ashamed and afraid to speak up. so uh, in conclusion, if you've made those posts I kinda hate you lol.
