Falling Down the Rabbit Hole of Post-Crisis WTF Does This Mean?

So while MG and BS continue to pat themselves on the back for producing SUCH AN AMAZING crossover let’s think about what this actually means for Arrow. They say this was great for Arrow - there are only two possible good things for Arrow out of this and I’ll end with those, so I don’t seem like a complete bitch.

It struck me the day after Crisis ending when talking to a friend that Mia, who I swear was in the Phantom zone or whatever the place was that the paragons were in after the earths were destroyed and then she wasn’t and no one commented. I looked and looked. Because, I know there are a lot of people who really like her and I thought they might be concerned….found nothing. Then it hit me - not that I was told or it was even broadly mentioned in the last part of the show - but all the time-travel-flash-forward adult children were gone and no one seemed to notice. Ergo, I am ASSUMING OR JUMPING TO CONCLUSION AS I WAS TOLD NOTHING - that MG and BS eliminated the flash forwards with the creation of the super stupidly named EARTH PRIME. SO the bleak dismal future that they spent three years forcing down our throats was wiped clean…how convenient for them…. I HATED the flash forwards as they represented Oliver’s failure but to just wipe them out with no comment? I don’t care if they get into in the next episode because I’m not watching.  

Moving on, I saw this Tweet this morning and my mind was blown again:

OMFG!!! Oliver created a NEW UNIVERSE - nothing that happened on any of the shows INCLUDING Arrow is guaranteed to have happened. All those amazing Olicity moments - I like the think for sure Oliver included those BUT there are no promises of ANYTHING. They literally threw the baby out with the baby out with the bathwater for this crossover. 

Now we get to the possible good is that Kat McNamara says her character Mia is different because of Crisis, maybe she will be less of a bitch? Really, I don’t care cause I’m not watching. I know it’s 2040 there but its a week for me and I’m not ready for someone else to be the Green Arrow, especially her. But I’m not watching and I so hope they don’t keep with that 2040 timeline for the finale. 

Final good - Oliver brought back Sara Diggle - I’m happy for everyone who really wanted this. It was nice to see. I wonder if he brought back anyone else - which would change the last 8 years of the show…anything is possible now, kind of like when they introduced time travel. Sadly, this good just poses more unanswerable questions!

But at the end of the day MG and BS have been destroying the show I love since S6 for me, earlier for others. But Crisis literally threw a bomb and destroyed it. It was disrespectful to Arrow and its fan on every level, OTA were not there for EITHER of Oliver’s deaths and there were TWO! Talk about pouring salt in wounds. The superheroes had a memorial and didn’t invite OTA and NO ONE went to check on Felicity after her husband DIED. 

Many are speculating on what will happen in the finale and if Crisis has taught us anything - anything is possible - it does not need to make sense or be explained. So those who will be happy as long as Olicity is together, I wouldn’t give up hope - there is absolutely nothing to stop them from bringing Oliver back from the dead again - I’m sure they’d enjoy killing him for a 3rd or is 4th time in one year…

At the end of the day, I just wish MG and BS realized how badly they fucked up. They could have given Arrow a nice ending and STILL had their spinoff. This didn’t need to happen. They chose this. They chose to disappoint their fans.

My fear now @hope for Olicity is that the 8.10 will only be some sort of memorial to oliver

And that Oliver and felicity won’t even be seen together- I wouldn’t put it past the writers to use the Emily appearance hype to get us to watch and then crush our spirits one last time in the end!

You have nailed all I kept thinking and saying the whole last hour oliver was dead - AGAIN!- what about Felicity, his friggin wife? William, his friggin son and Mia, his friggin daughter?

Once again they made Oliver’s victory/ sacrifice incomplete and less than because he didn’t even kill the monitor on his own as well

The last season has totally destroyed any happy feelings I’ve had of this show- it should have ended at 7.22

And what about the end of 7.22?

Does felicity get to be with Oliver at all now?

... it is nearly impossible for me to embrace the actor in any other role.

But put SA & EBR in ANYTHING after Arrow, and I’m SO in. Their chemistry is 🔥🔥🔥!

Book Review: Our First Christmas by Lisa Jackson, Mary Burton, Mary Carter and Cathy Lamb

I really enjoyed this book overall but as there were four separate stories, I’ll review them as such. 

A Ranger for Christmas by Mary Burton - I liked this best of the whole book! It was a romantic suspense! It features Texas Ranger Lucas Cooper and History Professor Marisa Thompson who studies the Mayans. The two had already hooked up once when Lucas tracks Marisa down for help with a case. The story is romantic and thrilling! 5 out 5 stars!!

A Southern Christmas by Mary Carter - I have to admit I wasn’t sure about this one at first - NY magazine writer Danielle Bright returns to her hometown to write a story about reuniting with her childhood boyfriend, thank goodness photographer Sawyer comes along to liven things up. The story got much better as it went on. 4 out of 5 stars

Christmas in Montana by Cathy Lamb - This was a sweet story about former rock band manager Laurel Kelly returning to her home after leaving her job and reuniting with the boy she left behind. It was interesting to see a heroine with this job. I really felt for Laurel and her complicated family. So glad Josh Reed was around to provide distraction. 3 out of 5 stars

Under the Mistletoe by Lisa Jackson - As she headlined the book and I enjoyed another book by her I had high hopes for this story. Sadly, I was disappointed. It was a sweet story of Megan Johnson’s remembering how she fell in love with her husband, not bad, just not what I hoped for. 2 out of 5 stars.

Cannot wait!!!!!

A day or 2 ago @cbat123 asked me if I was going to finish my fics. As I replied to her, yes, I'm going to finish writing those (Undisclosed Desires, Enraptured Submission, Savin' me, the sequel for TYBA {although, this one will take a while. @tdgal1 needs to take care of her health first and foremost}). But I also said in my reply that I have a couple of stories in the making.  The first is historical that has "The Wallflower Who Brought a Scoundrel to His Knees" as a working title (too long for my liking 😜), and the second is an AU titled "Storm of Ice and Fire. Here I leave you the working synopsis for each story:

The Wallflower who Brought a Scoundrel to his Knees

To escape a dangerous situation, Felicity Smoak will do the unthinkable and ask for help from the accomplished lover and libertine lord Starling. He's as beautiful as he is dangerous for the reputation of any woman. He has left a great number of broken hearts in his wake, so Felicity will go to the extreme to protect hers.

Drowning in debts, Oliver Queen, the sixth Earl of Starling, is desperate for money. When he sees no way out, the solution to his problems presents itself in the form of a wealthy heir. Felicity Smoak, a babbling wallflower, is hardly the type of woman he takes to bed, but when she proposes to get married, he surprises himself by accepting.

What Oliver never expects is that his new, shy bride asks of him what no other woman would ever dare. He'd like to refuse her but his all-consuming desire for Felicity forces him to use all his skills to seduce her. If he's not careful, she will welcome him into her bed at the same time that he will her into his heart.

Storm of Ice and Fire

He's nothing but a slave, a tool of lethal precision tired of so much pain and death, so subject 4587 does everything he needs to do to break out of his hellish existence. Breaching to another Earth won't be enough to shatter the shackles. He'll need the help of a compassionate -and beautiful- doctor to leave behind his old life.

Guess we can conclude that Emily will not be returning this season ?

In response to a fan question about “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” Arrow producer Marc Guggenheim – who is overseeing the crossover event – promised that they have a “great explanation” for the absence of Felicity Smoak in the event. The character will be absent from Arrow this season, after actress Emily Bett Rickards stepped away from the series at the end of last season. But with the fate of the multiverse on the line, it seems a little strange that somebody who has committed the last almost-decade of her life to saving Star City would not show up. So, what’s the deal?

Guggenheim says fans will have to wait to see. That said, he thinks the audience will be happy with it, and that it’s an unpredictable move.

Writing update

My wrist is finally better. I managed to get some writing done and I have some chapters for my stories. I haven't had time to edit them yet though. I'm moving on the 6 but once I get settled in my new place, I'm going to find the time to edit them and post them.

I have chapters written for, Rememberance, Bodyguard, I Can't Let Her Die, I Don't Know Who I am Without You, When We Were Young, You're Not Broken you're Stronger Than You know, Good to You, a one shot to my Klaroline Series, an Olicity family one shot that takes place after season 7.

And I'm current working on new chapters for if I knew love was so dangerous I wouldn't have loved, another chapter for Good to you and a update for Why Can't We Be Like That.

Damn, I have too many stories going. It's getting hard to keep track of them all.

You can expect updates after the 6 and possible sneak peeks before then if you'd like.

HIM REUNITING WITH HIS SOULMATE AND WIFE 20 YEARS AFTER LEAVING HER ALONE WITH THEIR KID HE'D NEVER KNOW BECAUSE OF SOME BULLSHIT "MISSION" TAKING OVER HIS DUTY TO HIS FAMILY, ALL THAT BECAUSE SHE, HERSELF, HAD TO CHOOSE TO ABANDON THEIR FAMILY (GROWN UP BUT STILL FAMILY YKNOW) TO GET TO HIM IS NOT - NOT - NOOOOOOT A HAPPY ENDING!

Oliver Queen DESERVES to see his children grow up. He DESERVES to go back to them IN 2019 AND LIVE A LONG HAPPY LIFE WITH THEM. NOT WAITING TO EVENTUALLY ONE DAY SEE THEM.

Also his legacy should be better than a shit ass city riddled with crime where Rene became a rotten mayor and where HIS KIDS, AGAIN. ARE FORCED. TO BECOME VIGILANTES/KILL PEOPLE. TO SURVIVE! Y'all had Oliver and Felicity talk about the importance of their sacrifices to give A BETTER LIFE to their children. NOT THAT SHIT. Fuck your spin-off idea, GIVE ME HAPPY OLIVER IN 2019 OR ELSE-
