Ok, so recently, I have seen an uptick in posts that call people out for using certain characters in self-insert stories for various different reasons and I felt that I could say something about things, because I just want us all to get along to be honest.

Look, we are, for some reason or another, attracted to these fictional characters, be it through their look or their personality or perhaps their media helped us through a difficult time. The point is that they mean something to us on an emotional or physical level, despite the fact that they are not necessarily good people. At the end of the day, it's all fiction and fantasy, we are not crazy because we like these characters, if that were true then over 50% of the world is the exact same and they don't have a leg to stand on. Ignore the haters hens and gents because we are all in this together, and we get each other, friendos, and that's all we need here ain't it?

A sittuation like this, is exactly why Elliot comes to live with my s/i. Because he's not being doubted for his morals, or his past. Because my s/i understands and even agrees with the fact that the Labyrinth should exist, and not be destroyed -- which in time Kirsty (the new hell Priest) would explain to Tiffany.

If it wasn't for him ruling over the Labyrinth for the time that he was Leviathan's Pope, then a lot more horrible, twisted people would be walking the streets. He isn't a monster, he doesn't kill or torture without reason. Elliot has sacrificed himself to save others before, even as a Cenobite sparing Tiffany (even if only for a short time, but she did enter the Labyrinth anyway instead of leaving when given the chance), and even goes as far as to save a girl from her abusive guardian/uncle, amongst other things he's done.

He gets a lot of shit for once being "Pinhead", and at times it greatly frustrates him. But he never intended to leave his true calling for long, he would return to the Labyrinth one day but first he wanted to maybe try and experience more of the human life he left behind -- or at least experience what he could since the whole world had changed around him since he was last human in 1921.

Over time though, Theo and others begin to trust him, and with my s/i backing him every step of the way, it's rare anybody would even get the chance to put him down without her going on the defense. Not to mention my/s/i daughter Lily also adores him, and others can see just how soft and caring Elliot can be, and how protective he is of her and my s/i.
