Hi, I saw you have Gladiia's outfit. I wanted to ask what you think of it. What is your opinion on the effects and such? Do you prefer it to her original design for appearance in stages? I'm trying to decide if I should get it while it's in the shop. (Thanks for all your lovely Arknights posts and community involvement, by the way.)

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: while base Gladiia is very stylish, I find her skin a improvement on almost every aspect of that.

Her S1 gets a fancy flourish with the Lance at the end

Her S2 and S3 gets wonderfuk sprays of sea foam and sea birds to them

Her entry animation is very stylish

And most importantly: she keeps the hat on during sex combat!

So yes, if you are a Gladiia-enjoyer, this is a very good skin to have. Especially if you like the hat to stay on. And it's a very good hat, so why wouldn't you?

time for my first Hater™️ post but i really dislike Popukar’s design. always have (i don’t think she was a release OP iirc, came out about a couple months later). back then it felt like it clashed with the techwear aesthetic the game was overall going for a bit too much. it wasn’t even remotely the only offender, mind you, but she really looks like she’s in pajamas and about to go take a nap. suzuran has the same issue for me but at least she has a skin that makes her look like a junior explorer, smth you’d expect a kid like her to wear during an expedition on Terra.

i can’t find the source outside of the game for the life of me, but I’m almost sure that the AHs we know (and love) were from Squad 2 and 3, right ? The vanguard and rearguard squads having been wiped out entirely during the squad against IsharMla.

Was thinking of making OCs for both those squads, and trying to reflect that in their design ; a lightly armoured and fast character (vanguard, first in the fight, first to die to a man too, with a design related to nimble aquatic animals), and a big bulky armoured fella built like a brickhouse (slow rearguard, supposed to hold and prevent squads 2/3 from being overwhelmed from behind, dying while doing his duty).

I wish we knew more about Aegir overall so I could also give them more specific traits. I hope the Ulpianus event spoils me …..

i must confess that ever since the first event (Grani one iirc ?) I’ve been kinda convinced that AK’s events blow the main story out of the water 99% of the time. i feel like the writing team is much better at telling story in a more constrained setting (them being the length of War and Peace helps but you know what I mean). i devoured virtually every event released, but could NOT muster the strength to care about the whole Victoria arc. anyone has any thoughts on this ?
