So order the head of the image which is in the house to be cut off so that it resembles the form of a tree; order the curtain to be cut up and made into two cushions spread out on which people may tread; and order the dog to be turned out. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) then did so. The dog belonged to al-Hasan or al-Husayn and was under their couch. So he ordered it to be turned out. Abu Dawud said: Al-Nadd means a thing on which clothes are placed like a couch.

It will be said to them, ‘Put life in what you have created (i.e. painted).’ ” The Prophet (ﷺ) added, “The angels do not enter a house where there are pictures.”

why is it that there seems to not be a single muslim on the face the the planet that can admit that an exmuslim left islam out of their own level headed choice?

not because that exmuslim wanted to drink or party, not because they wanted to have sex or eat pork. not because that exmuslim hated their parents or their culture. not because that exmuslim just “mixed up culture with religion”. not because that exmuslim was too stupid or flawed or just too plain stupid to understand islam properly. none of that - i would just like to see one (1) (uno) muslim admit that an individual could grow up in islam, examine it, and end up not believing.

There are about three lyrics that may only resonate for ex-Muslim men, since they reference the women of paradise & the charms of real life women. The song is in Arabic, but the pinned comment on the video has English translations.

Saw a post about going to the exmuslim subreddit rather than Tumblr, particularly for people who are questioning their faith, to avoid going down the radfem rabbit hole. Unfortunately guys, both Tumblr and Reddit have their issues. The fact is that things are inescapable in both communities. You need to actively involve yourself in the kind of people you want to be around.
