Tonight’s DnD ended up being REALLY Janos-centric and I’d be self-conscious about it, but it went really well! They rode a giant bird that was bucking like a bronco and flew it right back to the huntmaster that had sent them on that quest like a total BADASS it was cool

Honestly, it’s really gratifying that they’ve come so far and that it’s being recognized in-game and in the world 🥺 Means a lot to me

And my party members were all lovely and cheered me on 🥰 I couldn’t ask for a better group

Nine of Eight

Finally executed on a concept I had at the beginning of the year :D Our party’s lizardfolk cleric, Sikkuhl, is normally the one doing the resurrecting, but he was slain during the BBEG boss fight - so he had to be brought back by an NPC, who just barely cleared the DC of 8 with a roll of 9, represented by the vertical stars in the image. And Sikkuhl sacrificed his left eye during our adventures, so it’s all ~connected LOL I love doing these lithograph print-style drawings so I should really do more

#there are some other campaign-based symbols as well #the moons are Katha and Ruidus #the symbol in the bottom right is half of the symbol of the Claret Order #which is the group the NPC who raised him belongs to #and the little hexagons are me not knowing how to draw a dodecahedron LOL aka the Luxon beacon #Sikkuhl is a Luxon priest #also despite the fact that the concept that spurred this whole thing was ‘eight stars representing the DC and the ninth is his eye’ #I counted completely wrong and did 8 stars at first LOL #it was 4am I’m blaming that #my art #Sikkuhl #DnD personal #I actually already did another litho style drawing for this campaign I should post it

It’s been a couple weeks since I posted the tuxedo Trickster drawing but Joey saw it on insta and left a comment and I just ; u ; feels nice to know the person you drew likes your drawing

It’s finally done! I wanted to see the Trickster’s suit as a more classic tailcoat tuxedo 🎀 The process of which involved drawing stripes for like five hours and had me questioning my life LOL Why did I have to make the outfit even more fiddly

#also colors are the bane of my existence #I just slap my hand on the tablet and eventually call it at some point #Trickster forcing me to draw stripes and use colors the horror LOL #this is the one I’ve been plugging away at for like weeks #and by that I mean I worked on it sporadically #haven’t really drawn anything for a couple weeks so even though it was just finishing up this one I’m happy about it #maybe for my next thing I should try something less fiddly and less likely to proc my perfectionism #Trickster #Cirque du Soleil Trickster #Kooza #Cirque du Soleil #my art

Oh my god, Sin Prisa Gaming has a DPS player named Argon and I’m tripping hearing his name on broadcast

I have an AU where my OC Argon is on a pro OW team so this is wack LOL

#I should figure out a good home for Argon #he was originally a Starbound character but because of the friends I developed him alongside I also have a handful of AUs #I’m happy there’s a pro called Argon though LOL it’s a good name #he’s doing ok in this match though SPG lost the first map #Argon

Unfortunately I made some changes at like 4am and looking at them in the cold light of day I do not like them that much so I will have to figure that out again before proceeding

Ok I stopped gnawing on my hands long enough to make some progress on a Trickster drawing I’ve had stewing for a few weeks, and it’s like minuscule progress but it is progress and that’s what matters

Problem is I got it to the point where I have to color in 18302048 stripes and I’m like ugh…why….why do I like this character

I’m gonna chew my hands off I need to make SOMETHING new all my creative energy has been totally blocked (this is my/my perfectionism’s fault) (I keep imagining all the things I want to do and then feeling like I can’t do them well enough to try)

At some point I’ll have to do a little illustrated breakdown of all the elements of the Trickster’s costume(s) that I love because there are many. It’s like they were designed to appeal to me specifically

#maybe if I list them out I’ll understand them well enough to steal them for my own designs #though the Trickster looks like SO specific in the sense that their costume is more than the sum of its parts #the parts being individually honestly pretty ridiculous-looking #that idk if elements would work if removed from their context #but like whatever #I can still give characters sweaterpaws or whatever if I want to #me stuff

I am obsessed with the Trickster and will be for another billion years cuz I got to see the show again 💫 I doodled this on the plane on the way back, and as I am locked in an unending battle with the stupid nontraditional cut of the Trickster’s suit, it took some futzing before I liked it enough to post but here we gooooo

#I actually saw the show twice this time LMAO #I flew to SF for this shit I was gonna get my time’s worth #the first time the Trickster was played by Mitch and the second was by Joey who is who I was there for #and I got to meet Joey briefly afterwards! #he was so nice! #he’s only a little bit taller than me which is wild #god his dancing is so beautiful #and his characterization of the Trickster is perfect it makes me wanna die it’s so good #Trickster #Cirque du Soleil #Cirque du Soleil Trickster #Kooza #my art #Draw Anything At All Ongoing #seriously what is up with the cut of the suit #I know it’s so it doesn’t move around too much when they’re flipping all over the place #but by classic suit principles it’s all sorts of fucked up LOL
