I will be honest guys, the Red portrait of king Charles is gorgeous asdfghjkl

it's a bad portrait. Like. Objectively. It does the opposite of what's intended. It looks like the painter is insulting him. If it was in a contemporary gallery with no context you would see it immediately as the ambivalent criticism of Charles's reign, how he fades into the overwhelming red background as a tiny little figure, small and insignificant, insufficient for the clothes he's wearing. It reminds my of Goya's portraits, how they were so 'realistic' that they ended up making these great figures look pathetic to the viewer. So these are our rulers?

the sheer novelty. the surprise and shock, the kinda cunt it's serving for no reason. I. I love it. It's an incredible portrait by Jonathan Yeo. By the sheer fact that Charles, the man, is impossible to portray as greater than man because he's just such a nothingburger of a dude. So a portrait made to make him look huge and interesting made him be swallowed in red brushstrokes. The butterfly, that reminded me immediately of " we will all laugh at guilded butterflies", draws more attention than him. It looks like an omen. It looks like a warning in all this red. Something is not right here.

This is the best royal portrait ever 10/10

I'm a DISNEY PRINCESS!

Well... almost.

I HATE seeing pictures of me. I hate being in the Youtube Thumbnails. So... I asked my friend Tracy Bailey if I could hire her to make some "Disney Princess" versions of me for my Youtube Thumbnails.

She said yes. Yay!

Here's some (she's making more) and I just think they're SO adorable.

I'm hoping to replace ALL of my Youtube Thumbnails eventually.

I'm off to go sing with birds now. Bye

I take it personally when my former posts don't sell and this is one of my favorites, still on the market. The 1969 house in Plantation, FL is art- look at the modern piece outside and the matching round windows. 5bds, 4ba, $1.28M (In an obvious act of defiance, the seller just upped the price $10K.) + $113mo. HOA. Let's go in.

Check it out- it's clearly got the mid-century modern elements, but coupled with Zen decor and color.

Once the seller takes his stuff out, you've got a mid-cent. mod living room open to the pool. It has a classic fireplace and pitched ceiling.

Then it's the classic den with MCM wood paneling. The only thing different would be the round windows, but they're cool.

They have this flex space set up as a pool room. More round windows.

The kitchen is combined with a rec room. Look at the bar and sunken sitting area.

This is a conversation pit with a cool red Scandinavian fireplace.

The kitchen is somethin' else. Pinkish red with laminate counters and original cabinets.

Mirrored walls were popular in MCM homes and the dining room has them.

Original bathroom with blue sinks and Zen Soji screens.

Large bedroom has a mirror wall and sliders to the patio.

The smaller bedroom has access to the pool, which is nice.

Check out the mirrored bath. I'm confused. It looks wider than it is.

Look at the shape of the pool. Note the 2nd level over a covered patio.

The primary bedroom is on the 2nd level over the covered patio.

The en-suite has a sink with butterflies, there's a vanity, and a rounds shiny black tub.

They also have an office in this flex space.

Love the color of the sink and matching tile.

The home is on an open .50 acre of land with a small waterway alongside the property.

was in class the other day and the professor was talking about how he'd be grading our research papers and said "I'll just give you your rubrics, I know you all don't read comments on your essays anyway," and never have I been so surprised to hear any single sentence in my entire life. I immediately said "what? I always read them, what are you talking about?" and he said "okay marina, for you specifically I will print out your paper and annotate it," so I'm not fussed on that front, but I remain taken aback at the idea that most people aren't reading their essay feedback. that's literally what I'm here for, I want to put in effort to do reasonably good work and hear back from someone else who's read it. I literally cannot conceptualize a mindset where I would ignore written feedback that has been given to me. What.
